We 3 kids who have attended this school. Our time is more than halfway done. As a parent, I typically do not read reviews of a school from someone who simply works there. I would say this school excels at academics. Over 75% of the teachers hold a master's degree! It is why I convinced a family member to also send their kids there. Teachers are HIGHLY engaged and truly care about students. The Principla has been there over 10 years and is phenomenal in My opinion. She is diplomatic and makes sure everyone feels welcome. The downside of this school in My opinion having had kids at other elementary schools in the area, would definately be the the parent drama. There are a decent amount of parents who seem to want to turn it into a private school, when it is simply not. Jockeying for their kids social status at a very young age. Seems unhealthy. But if You can avoid that, the academics and environment are good! I highly recommend Mason Ridge. :)

This district and this high school are behind other districts in this area in that the honors courses are less engaging, children with special education needs are not well served and IEPs are not followed. If you are looking to buy a home in this area and you have children who could go to public school, you would be best served going to Rockwood or even Parkway South.

this school is interesting to say the least. first of all, I am so grateful for the accepting clubs like GSA and art club. I don't think I could've survived school without them. Parkway west is def a "survival of the fittest" type of school, this school is not for the weak. and if you've gotten through 6th grade, then good job :D I am currently a 6th grader that has ADHD and is a weird kid. even if you think there's no one here for you, whether you're a weird kid or anything else, you're wrong. I am most certainly sure there will be someone out there, waiting to be your friend.
