"Too many to list. Something is always going on in Downtown Arlington! Summer and winter are the best."
  • Trulia User
"The huge amount of children. The fact that old town does lots of community events. Lots of dog owners and active people. I can walk to 3 different parks from my home- one of which is on the river and has a fenced dog park. It’s a great spot. Centennial trail is one of my favorites to take down to the water front park and back with my doggos. "
  • Trulia User
"People who don't pick up their dogs poop You're gonna be a dog owner be responsible I shouldn't have to clean up dog poop in my yard when I don't have a dog"
  • terry g.
"I live in Arlington and do not like all the drugs here. It is like living in Woodstock. There is a no leash dog park on 152nd street. You may want to wear boots in the rainy season."
  • Trulia User
"The Farmers Market every Saturday from 10-2pm is so fun and a great way to support local businesses. Arlington Hardware in old town is the one stop shop for everything you need. The Co-Op Supply is pet friendly and has everything you need for your pets or live stock. Aside from that, if your a social butterfly like myself, the White Horse Salon in town is a blast!! I love to take my dogs here and play pool with friends. The best thing about this town is the sense of community. I know the owners to almost every business and regularly make new friends who are also local or new to the area. There is nothing like running into great people you know everywhere you go. I love it. "
  • Trulia User
"There are little to no community events in this area. The have been several reports of stolen packages, the parking is very bad if you have a second car. Several of my neighbors have had their gas cipher from their cars."
  • Trulia User
"I have been here my whole life and the spirit of the town will always be “old town”. It tries to keep up but it’s charm will never fail it! "
  • Trulia User
"Nothing everybody’s wonderful. I have never had a problem walking my dog through the street even at night. "
  • Trulia User
"Don’t take public transportation. The bus line is only a block away but I work night and long hours so a car is necessary. "
  • Jim M. G. I.
"Close to everything, but far enough from town that you don’t feel like you live in the city area. A lot of parks and lakes are close by. Great schools district"
  • Aria T.
"I honestly don’t know .. there’s no dog parks or anything . There are some trails and things that are nice to walk through"
  • Jim M. G. I.
"A short drive to most everywhere. Restaurants, freeway entrance, schools. Traffic near the airport has gotten thicker with all the residences being built. Once they widen the road, it’ll be a lot better."
  • Tori T.
"People are always out walking their dogs, however the yards in this area tend to get small so if you have a bigger dog find a nearby park or runner. The neighbors don’t like visits from the neighboring dogs if they decide to explore."
  • Cuteliltz
"Don’t let your kids run around the streets! Cars can only be so careful when kids are careless. Nice place overall "
  • Nateal D.
"car shows, craft fairs, street fairs, and crime level is a low. drug addicts are pretty scarce. easy to get to locations even walking. "
  • neighbor
"We have a nice dog park, dog friendly walking trails & mostly friendly respectful dog owners who pick up poo etc"
  • Saraksheskey
"The schools are great!! There is an art walk as well that is very peaceful and filled with all different kinds of art. Great for walking around too. It has a wonderful small town feel to it. "
  • Gibbeloth
"Nice mix of modern convenience, small town feel, and neighborhood feel. It is super nice to be able to walk your kids to school and dance class as well as running into or meeting up with people you know around town. "
  • Taylor P
"The nearest bus stop from Carolls Creek Landing is a little under 2 miles away, but the buses are almost always on time and very reliable. The Smokey Point transit center is very convenient "
  • Jiggleswish
"I have lived in this area for 13 years it’s quite and full of nature. The people here are nice but you don’t tend to talk to your neighbors a often. "
  • Kelmhearts8
"I live next too a main road so there are not that many houses we have 4 neighbors and all of us have big yards "
  • Gibbeloth
"Great small town feel that offers a wonderful community for families. Great schools, restaurants, and community events for all ages. "
  • Abbagailjohnson39
"My neighborhood is dog friendly depending on the breed of dog if your a pit bull owner or a or any other breed labeled as a more aggressive or dangerous breed of dog my neighborhood wouldn’t be so welcoming to them! Which is bs!"
  • Alyson C.
"People walk their dogs all the time, they are respectful of each other’s yards with their dogs and everyone has dogs that are well behaved."
  • C.l.bennett58
"Our neighborhood is close to various shopping centers, including Twin Lakes Shopping Center. Easy freeway access, close to hospital and many medical offices."
  • Abbagailjohnson39
"It’s a quiet area mostly old folks and families that play golf it’s sort of like a country club type of setting"
  • David R.
"quick and very commutable to and where traffic very lite but sad to see that very young famlies dont stay long enough to have children around n play like they used to when i grew up here."
  • David R.
"we have special events during summer like show n shine n a fall fair that gets kids back into the spirit of being in school. "
  • Melanie J.
"I love Arlington. can't see myself living anywhere else. people don't get into your business, but are friendly. everything is close, store's, restraints, casinos. you get it all here. "
  • Kdiedre
"Brand new up and coming area (Smokey point) luxury apartments that also own the store fronts that are also new. More shopping and the area looks much better than before. "
  • Elena H.
"Arlington is so beautiful; it even has a tree committee that watches over the health of our town’s( many) old trees. Plus, it’s incredibly safe and well cared for."
