6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrid. My child graduated from the middle school program in June, and had the the absolute worst experience. Bullying is horrible, fights in the bathrooms, cyberbullying, threats, rumors, everything you can think of. The middle school is INCREDIBLY small, less than 100 kids for the entire program, with 30 kids per grade. (6th, 7th, 8th) The new principal does not know how to handle the middle schoolers, let alone elementary aged children. My child was relentlessly bullied by classmates, and teachers did absolutely nothing. Teachers pretend to care, and waste classtime every chance they get. Bullying, and social isolation is extremely common, and god forbid your child is special needs. This school does not deserve the awards it gets. The new principal rewards average behavior, and forces the older kids to mingle with younger children.Did I mention there is only ONE class for the middle schoolers? No lockers, no moving classes, no schedule. Just in one classroom the entire day with a measly 15 minute break and lunch. The school is horrible at preparing its middleschoolers for highschool, and has little to no extracurriculars. The robotics team is run by two women who do not know what they are doing, there is no GATE program, no sports, absolutely nothing. This school is not a good school! Students are rude, staff is ignorant, and parents are even worse.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Carver Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCarver E.S. has done many positive changes since Dr. Kessler has been principal. Now this school has many resources available for parents and students, he has achieved for the school to have up to 8th grade, the school looks nicer and welcoming. My children enjoy going to school! Many thanks to all staff for their hard work!Parent Review10y ago4 Reviews - Centennial High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have attended this school for almost 4 years and my experience here has been mostly great! Ever since the pandemic occurred many great changes have been made to the school. There are plenty more clubs to join like cheerleading or track. More rigorous courses like AP or Honors have been added. The teachers have also helped out more in the courses. Many of the students here are great (if you hang around the right people). School counselors have helped many of us with our college applications, they even helped me get into many cal states and universities of California. I won’t act like there aren’t any negatives to this school because there are. Many fights do happen at this school, but since the pandemic, the number of fights have been lowered. When I was a freshmen almost one fight would occur each week! In the past 3 years only one fight would occur each month. Some teachers also don’t teach as much as they should in the harder courses. For example, my AP psychology teacher would almost never teach us anything, and when we had the exam almost everyone failed it. The school lunches here could also be a hit or a miss, but they are free. When you count the negatives and the positives, the positives outnumber the negatives. You can join many fun clubs and the rigorous courses can help you stand out in college applications. The teachers here are mostly great and so are the counselors. Once I graduate next month I can proudly say that I was an APACHE!Student Review3y ago5 Reviews - Ronald E. Mcnair Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur first year at McNair has been amazing. Coming from a different CUSD school and homeschool, this school has exceeded my expectations and made my children feel safe to learn, to try new things and to be productive citizens in the community.Parent Review7y ago8 Reviews - Martin Luther King Elementary School

"Good area. Lots of old people who have lived here for 60+ years. I love checking on them and making sure they’re safe and taken car of. New families moving in, lots of kids. Super fun and entertaining for me and my grandmother. "
