About this House

*Most utilities included in the price of rent!*

This quintessential Ashland home is located in the heart of the historic district and is just one block from Ashland's prized plaza. The surrounding neighborhood and ease of walking distance to all Ashland offers captures the joy of living in this beautiful town.

This charming home was built in 1908 and the craftsmanship is evident throughout. The large, covered front porch overlooks a lovingly maintained little garden. The front door opens into the living room and dining room with a wood stove as a center piece. This home was beautifully built and there is original old growth Douglas fir flooring everywhere except the tiled bathroom, wainscoting in the kitchen, 10 foot ceilings, a window seat, and leaded windows at the front of the house. While this home is historic, it does offer some more modern amenities such as a dishwasher, garbage disposal, air conditioning, and a spacious bathroom. The three bedrooms are modest in size and each room has a closet and a skylight. There is a small landing right out the back door with stairs leading to a deck below, with a small fenced backyard.

Also included in the price of rent is some storage in the downstairs basement, electricity, water, sewer, trash and recycling. Gas is not included in the price.

Important Note: This property is shared with a detached cottage that is used as a vacation rental. While the guests in the cottage do not use the back yard, the noise generated in the backyard can be heard in the cottage. It is very important to be conscious and aware of this when living in this house. Late night backyard parties and the like would not be appropriate for this property. The laundry/cleaning supplies for the cottage are located in the house basement and will be accessed and used by the cottage cleaner/owner (vacation renters do not have access to this).

Looking for a responsible, respectful tenant to dwell in this gem of a home.

*Please do not disturb current occupants of home.*

Owner pays electricity, water, sewer, trash and recycle.
Owner will provide yard maintenance.
Owner will not allow parties or late night/early morning noise and will expect tenant to be mindful and respectful of their noise level and also respect the privacy and private space of guests staying in the vacation rental.
Owner does not allow smoking of any kind.
Owner does not allow pets.
Owner does not provide a washer and dryer, but there are hook ups in main house for tenants to hook up their own machines.

To live so close to theater, art, restaurants and a great coop, and yet be able to head out the backdoor into hundreds of miles of trails is truly astonishing. It's also quiet, which is increasingly rare in this world."
