"People drive fast as it’s known for its race track are so not too safe for children walking alone….."
  • Mrsnjg3
"Beware of coyotes, snakes, and gophers. No public park or recreation area. Majority of your neighbors speak Spanish. "
  • Toribio.avalos@hotmail.com
"It’s a quiet neighborhood not much traffic and you could go on walks I. The morning or afternoons. There the desert to go off roading. Or you can go to the shore and watch the birds and the water if you don’t mind a little stink. "
  • Ashley D. R.
"It’s a good neighborhood. but i wouldn’t recommend people to move out here . it’s very lonely , everything is very far ."
  • SteveS
"We've lived here 10+ years. Spanish as a second language is highly recommended. Even with a language barrier we've got the best neighbors. "
  • John R
"Salton Sea area you need to have your own or reliable transition. There is no major shopping place for groceries and the closest to here is about 30 plus miles away."
  • Linda K.
"this is a very remote area nothing to Walk to no grocery stores and you have to be careful of snakes and air quality"
  • Mrsnjg
"There are stray dogs roaming around, once in a while. It would be a great idea to bring some type of protection for you and your dog. Sometimes the neighbors will let their dogs roam around too but they are friendly."
  • ROMERO C.
"I like the desert climate and the diverse individual families here making it home. Great neighbours of all ages and walks of life."
  • Michaelspinnerhead
"Salton city is an excellent place for families and retirees alike. Low crime and very friendly people provide the ingredients for a small town feel. It's totally different from the big city where everyone is to concerned about making the buck then actually enjoying life. "
  • savesaltonsea
"Difficult austere environment, wide open spaces. Night sky is beautiful and the Salton Sea is also quite lovely at dawn. Lots of birds. If you want solitude and don't mind driving to Indio for shopping this is an all right place to be. It's common to have 120 degree summer days and there's no rainfall. A hermits dream, in a nutshell. "
  • Michaelspinnerhead
"I think its an excellent area. Close proximity to state owned land makes this home heaven for off road enthusiasts. Kids love it here!"
