  • Trulia User
"Good place to live, a lot safer than it was 20 years ago, Canarsie just doesn’t have a variety in terms of food types"
  • Nicholas John
"You’ll like the long coty blocks, countless dong parks, architecture while taking walks with your furry best friend"
  • Rose8mliance
"It has a park where many people come from everywhere to entertain themselves. Some residents enjoy doing exercises during the sommer time and play games. All these hobbies made them happier and contribute to their health conditions."
  • Meris322
"Very friendly community, everything is near by, supermarket, laundry mats. Pharmacy and playground. Buss to the subway "
  • Mellydu89
"I live here and I’m so used to my area and I am OK with it 100%. I wish I was able to just buy a house here so bad."
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood has many bus routes running thru it and we have access to 3 subway lines. #2. #5 and the L Train. "
  • Trulia User
"If you can commute between 3AM to 7AM it isn’t bad. Any other time it’s a disaster. The belt turns into a disaster which turns rockaway into a disaster then effects all the other streets. If you don’t drive good, bus and train take longer and more more risky but still better than driving."
  • Trulia User
"The neighbors will look out for one another. The streetlights are very bright. The neighborhood has a fantastic park that has a great play area."
  • Trulia User
"Not bad place if it was for the drugs and all that gang nonsense. People seem to be shooting themselves left and right this year."
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood has great access to public transportation and the commute is rough with a lot of people crowded on the buses and trains. The commuters are polite and say excuse me and pardon me. But, it still is hectic. That is Brooklyn, NY for you, busy and crowded."
  • Trulia User
"It’s alright except when it gets hot and the young boys decide to start shooting. Once you hear the bullets start flying it over. Otherwise it an ok neighborhood."
  • Trulia User
"I am not a parent but I heard that the public schools are above average. As far as,the neighborhood goes one should keep their children close to them."
  • Trulia User
"Access to train and buses, mall, can get to manhattan and other boroughs easily. People are friendly. Only noisy during summer and July 4"
  • Trulia User
"My commute is effective and reliable one can lays depend on public transportation you only have to be on time."
  • Trulia User
"Seeing other people walk there dogs or definitely meeting friendly neighbors , & being in a neighborhood that’s feels like a family "
  • Trulia User
"is near everything, transportation, shopping area and also lots of restaurants. this area is very useful if your trying to build anything, car, house, construction anything you can think of "
  • Trulia User
"My commute to get around isn’t that bad everything is within waking distance or very easy by bus or train"
  • Trulia User
"There are many families in the area, great parks and great schools. The only issue I have is the loud music, sometimes it happens alot during the week."
  • Trulia User
"It is a two-way zone area which makes it easy for me to catch the bus or the train. There is a supermarket that provides many fruits/vegetables and other products. You can get good deals on hardware products and other household products. There are clothing stores as well that sell fine clothes and shoes. We have a health food store and a store that sells natural juices."
  • Trulia User
"Good. Could be a bit challenging on rush hour times. There are traffic cameras so there is hardly any speeding cars. Nice back yard bbqs "
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"There is a park and a lot of good schools. You are close to belt parkway allowing easy access to Queens and Mill Basin. Very easy to get around with a car. "
  • Trulia User
"It’s the last block of the street itself and there’s a huge park at the end of the block. Past that is a major Highway and past that, is a bay with just a strip of land before there’s the Atlantic Ocean. Does not feel crowded here and I wouldn’t mind having a boat to explore the local waters"
  • Trulia User
"Love this neighborhood , and I have live here for over 27 year.. the neighborhood has change a lot over the year. However, the people in the neighborhood look out for each other. "
