Teachers belittle children here calling them jerks but will write referrals to students when children defend themselves. Teachers also complain about child's performances rather than strategize and cooperate with parents to have children succeed. I have had a teacher constantly tattle tale on a child like if she was a child herself. Another teacher basically refused to assist me when I attempted to assist in the performance of my child. I was contacted 3 months after school started to be informed that my child was falling behind , which was very disturbing. There was no urgency to get me involved in my child's performance. I was promised to be contacted every week to 2 weeks to be updated on my son's performance and staff did not fall through. Teachers are there for a paycheck not to teach. They dont care about your child success. Seek another school for your child's best interest.

This is a horrible school and my kids had a horrible experience and a hard time making many friends because of the color of there skin. In addition to issues on the bus with older boys telling them people of color are bad. The school itself did not feel like a safe place as well and im pretty sure one of there prior students killed there own mother...so glad we got them out of this school before something horrible happens. We have had to many issues with Lecanto for it to be a coincidence. The teacher are like kids and the school is white washed which I dont care what sucked was not everyone was treated the same. We had alot of issue with them profiling and everything else they realized they were wrong when they saw who I really was lol We serve our community and the surrounding area.

Absolutely terrible. Everything from teachers telling students they can't charge iPads because there's not enough outlets when their class has the most outlets out of any classroom in the entire school to the lunch being absolute crap worse than bad fast food "milk" is often spoiled portions are preposterous not enough for a 10 year old let alone a growing teen you can see the failure of the nutritional system of citrus county schools by looking at the size of students many freshmen are the size of 8 year olds. Some teachers care some don't. sports programs are pretty alright except 1
