It's a new charter school in SC. My son stayed 2 years for 5th and 6th grade. Fewer students so it's not crowded. No library and playground for bigger kids. They use their gym as cafeteria with small tables for toddlers not big enough for 6th graders. They are short of teachers. My son's teacher has more absent than him like more than 15 this year. In some cases, they have to go to different grade classes because no teacher is available to watch them. No extra classrooms, they have to seat on the floors. One time my son asked for extra work in school because he was so bored doing nothing and his teacher got mad at him for speaking up. I transferred my son to different school but this school is ok if you like low numbers of kids.

The teachers care about every student. I wish the education would improve and it is sad that the parents don’t take more initiative but for me I was glad I had the support system I had attending this Alma mater

I have a problem with suspended kids how can they learn at home iss is good but I think the kids needs to write essay on what they got in trouble for,and have all there teachers send there class work to is,I feel like teachers these days don't care about the kids or schooling ,They sit in rooms on there phones really don't help the kids if they don't understand what the teacher is teaching,And at the beginning of school year parents get a handbook but if teachers are going to use there cell phones to call parents then put teachers number in the handbook, .I could keep going cause imy really upset with Gaffney Middle School needs a lot of changing/Thanks Katie
