My child has had continuous issues in this school. So bad so that he was pulled from school recently. My final was that he was special testing and the tests ran over lunch some. He was never given lunch even after he brought it up to his teacher. Instead he went to recess and it was never mentioned again. He came home starving and when I called the principal they acted like it was no big deal. Accidents happen but a child should NEVER go all day without lunch. No one had an explanation for what happened. This is one thing on top of 50 that have continued while we have attended this school over the last few years. Don’t get me started on the bullying problems.

I am a student at Norman High School. All my classes are great! They’re challenging and tough, but the teachers are great and have tought me SO much. If you want a good education, come to Norman High and take AP and/or Honors courses.. They also offer so many programs!!

i’m so glad this is my last year… like this school is absolute poop. the teachers are great, most of them are really good and are great at teaching. a lot of the issue is the curriculum. it just doesn’t have good lessons and isn’t very informational or helpful. i also believe a lot of the issue is the students. a lot of kids are very involved with drugs and aren’t very respectful to teachers and other students. there are a lot of fights. in class sometimes it’s hard to get things done because kids keep acting up and being disrespectful. i don’t believe it’s the teacher’s lack of classroom management fault, but the administration at this school… cough cough the principals.. they do absolutely nothing. they are a reason a lot of teachers quit/want to quit. teachers have literally told me that they love the school but hate the administrators because they do literally nothing to help students nor teachers. teachers cant send kids to the office if they are bad because the admin won’t do anything besides send them back to class. i don’t know what the principals are doing all day that is more important than making sure their students are getting the education they deserve, but alcott needs a new head principal specifically because she does not do anything to help the faculty or students. anyways this school kinda sucks oh well
