It's another vacation rental that has the same quaint cottage feel of this one, and is completely renovated with new floors and new comfy furniture. If you haven't been to Oceanside lately, you should come see how much it's changed, and all it has to offer. Being one of the flattest beach cities in San Diego, you can literally park your car and walk or ride bikes everywhere. Be sure to ride your bikes over to the Farmer's Market every Thursday morning for local fresh produce, and then to the Street Fair every Thursday evening to check out the vendors with hundreds of options for gifts, every type of food you can imagine, beautiful art and live music from local bands! Or walk to one of the longest piers in Southern California, and enjoy watching the surfers and fisherman. Stop in to 'Stone Brewery' and get a wonderful craft beer while sitting around an out door fire pit. Swing by the famous 'Top Gun' house which is located just a few hundred yards down the Strand for a photo opportunity. If there is a movie you are wanting to see while on vacation, there is a theatre right up the street. There is also many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, surf shops, ice cream stores and much more to visit, and all of these are within walking and biking distance! The Oceanside Harbor is just a short distance further on bikes or by foot and offers water sports, sailing, fishing, and the whale watching charter boats are for hire - or again just take in the view from one of the many restaurants or benches along the harbor.If you decide to get out of Oceanside, you can be at a half dozen theme parks within an hour: Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Sea World, The San Diego Zoo, The Wild Animal Park, and all the Los Angeles movie studios are only a short drive further. Sports fans? How about walking to the train station and riding it to see the San Diego Chargers play or the Padres at Petco park! If you are a horse racing fan, we offer the Del Mar race track from mid July to September. There is also Balboa Park and the Gaslamp district within a 40-60 minute drive if you want to experience the many museums and unique eateries of San Diego. If hiking or adventure biking is your thing, we have amazing trails around San Diego for both of those too! In fact there is a very long 'coastal rail Trail' for bicycling enthusiasts to ride the train and hop off and ride your bikes all through Oceanside and down into San Diego.Oceanside is the perfect 'home base' to see so much of what southern California offers - you will Love Visiting Oceanside!

Gentrification is on in a big way here with property values climbing quickly. It is a walkable urban, beachside neighborhood. I love downtown Oceanside, but I could get priced out soon, which is sad.
