"I live and work in the area and love, love, love it!!! The entire community is wonderful. Crystal blue lakes...excellent fishing! Scenic, lush woods, healthy and large trees and wildflowers! Fascinating wildlife...dear, eagles, bears, loons, moose, racoons, fox, cranes, birds, squirrels, chipmunks. Best kept secret! Wouldn't want to live anywhere else! "

"We have vacationed here for over 40 years and the Northern Highland State Forest is our favorite place to hike and fish in spring and summer and hunt and snowmobile in fall and winter. There are lots of little hidden lakes with great bass and panfishing. And it is always beautiful!"

"Woodruff has 1200 lakes in Oneida County alone. Easy access for boating, fishing, swimming. Outstanding cross county skiing at Winter Park area close by. Snowmobiling, down hill skiing, hunting or quilting, outstanding library, churches, community theater. "
