Single Family Home for sale by owner in Mathews, VA 23109. CURRENTLY UNDER CONTRACT:) Our family bought this home in 1998, being only the second owner of this beautiful 1928 Four Square home. We installed all new wiring and plumbing, refinished the original plaster walls and wide classical mouldings. The hardwood floors are in near perfect condition, and the windows are all original. We entertained frequently with this well-flowing floor plan, having a large Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen. Nine foot ceilings are found on the first Floor, with eight foot ceilings on the second. The Bathrooms have new white ceramic tile walls and floors, and Bedrooms are well-proportioned. This is one of the few homes in Mathews County that is on the public sewer system instead of a septic system. Close to schools and shopping, but not too close! 2011 County Assessment: $202,000 Last appraisal was done around 2006 and was valued at $260,000 (the good old days)!
