8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child recently graduated from this school, and I have been deeply disappointed with the experience. This school does not value academic performance. Over the years, I’ve watched many excellent students leave—either transferring to Gifted and Talented programs or other schools.Until 5th grade, my child often complained about not being able to find capable peers to collaborate with on schoolwork. I didn’t send him to a G&T program earlier because I thought elementary school was basic enough that we could support his learning at home. Unfortunately, I was wrong. My child used to be an incredibly curious learner who loved science and math. However, due to the school’s lack of academic focus and absence of like-minded peers, he gradually lost that curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. If your child is self-driven, curious, and academically inclined, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.Parent Review7mo ago17 Reviews - Jhs 190 Russell Sage

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son constantly gets bullied, he witnesses fights, he’s been physically bullied, he HATES going to school I can’t even get him the same kind of help he had in his other schools. He’s afraid to get yelled at by his teacher, his confidence is low because of the way he gets treated. I shouldn’t have to fight to get him to go to school in the morning some days it literally makes him sick at times. The kids still use their cell phones during school hours as well.Parent Review3mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 11115 75th Ave #2M.

"I live here for two years now and i do love it. A homey feeling around where everything mostly you need are few walk away. Near mass public transit, very good school district, quite diverse but totally quiet and everybody is minding their own business. Banks and restaurants are 2 blocks away and almost eateries are almost endless as the lane of Austin St. goes. Department store across the street, fruit stand and farmers market every sunday morning."

"Flushing Meadows Corona Park is just nearby. Lots of playgrounds and schools in the neighborhood. Most importantly it is a safe neighborhood. It also has more trees and green accents than most of other neighborhoods in Queens. The playground located by Grand Central Expressway has a tennis court and athletic field with volleyball court and track among other parts. Also the neighborhood is a walking distance to Forest Park. Great area for kids. "
