6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don’t have enough good things to say about South Colby!! The staff are incredible and truly care about the students and their success. They provide wonderful lessons not only in their subjects but also in social emotional learning. The school needs some upgrades to the buildings as it has been around for some time but the PTSO and staff work hard to ensure the students have everything they need for success!Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - South Kitsap High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is a senior this year and has done amazing here. His attitude about school has become positive. He has favorite teachers in almost all his classes. They teacher have been so supportive. He loves all the choices they offer to make them ready for a career like automotive and welding. Computer classes and so much more. He has a great counselor who has helped him with situations outside of school All around a great school. Yes there are a lot of students but they have made this school great.Parent Review1y ago13 Reviews - John Sedgwick Junior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJohn Sedgwick has done a phenomenal job of inclusion, academic and emotional support, through the transition of 5th to 6th grade students. For some, the transition from school to school can be difficult and they have taken their responsibilities as educators and caring adults to the next level for the kids. The current principal is always warm and understanding of the changing educational atmosphere and ensuring parents are well informed on why the school does things the way they do. My son was able to transition from Elementary School to Middle school without significant hiccups. The change from 1 teacher all day to block classes, periods, passing time, lockers and more student movement can be overwhelming for some. The adults and the 7th/8th graders do a great job in supporting their students and junior classmates in the transition to the new schedules. This school has been nothing but amazing so far and cannot wait for it to continue!Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 1111 SE Overaa Rd.

"My neighborhood has quick and easy access to hwy 16. It’s 10 min to Gig Harbor, 15 min to the Narrows bridge, 10 min to Bremerton Ferry. The side of hwy 16 I am on is on the same side as Lowe’s (off Sedgwick), so we have very little traffic. "

"Lots of parks and down town is a great place to walk. Most of the neighborhoods are well lit and most everyone is super friendly. Not a lot to do in port orchard but we are super close to silverdale, Bremerton, gigharbor and tacoma. "

"Everybody cares about everybody. It’s like living in the sandlot movie. I love my neighborhood. We do cook outs, we celebrate, we compete in Christmas light competitions. Every year this neighborhood shapes and helps me grow, if you invest yourself into a good place, you’ll find a home. "

"as of recently there have tons of break ins residential and auto. lots of the sidewalls are decorated with trash, heroin needles and every once in a while animal feces. Some residents are amazing, some are completely and utterly rude but as is with every town. lots of mom and pop restaurants and small businesses "
