I have 3 children 2 that are in middle school now and 1 that will be going to kindergarten. From the first day I meet the teacher that was going to my first son's prek teacher I knew I found the right school. I was bullied very bad when I was little and I always felt I should homeschool my children. That teacher changed my mind. She took my son and made me feel safe about him staying with her throughout the days. Which were very had for me. I knew he was fine being with her. To this day those teachers throughout the years are still making me feel just the same as before, safe. My two older boys have always been above their grade levels and my soon to be kindergartener is on his way too. I am very proud to say they are Roadrunner strong and proud.

Overall the school could do better, the teachers are overworked, the nurse is never on campus, and my daughter says she has never been to the school library..she is in 8th grade.Students are not allowed to go on their own, and I assume the teachers cant find the time for kids to read supervised .Some teachers/staff only teach students to pass state test, and their main concern is attendance..even when there is a death in the child's family with documentation, which is required, is still counted as ( not excused)My daughter who is normally socia, happy, and makes good grades, is scared to death to ask some teachers questions about anything.Which has affected her grades..She once developed a UTI because she was denied restroom time during class, which made me furious.This is my 3rd child to attend Stevenson middle school, and it hasn't changed.The whole class is punished on a weekly basis for the behavior of 1 or 2 students, by ( Silent Lunch) which is ridiculous...its more like prison than school.I'm aware that teaching is hard, and that most Teachers care for the well-being of their students , even while T.E A. Prohibits them from doing what they do best..actually TEACHING.Moreover, I'm not just some whining parent who thinks my child is privileged or entitled, and I usually let the staff do their job until my child's grades suffer, and she is wrecked with anxiety!If you can't Teach well, find another job where your not responsible for the education of Americans kids.

Front office admin is not welcoming at all or comprehend with someone issue.
