Please read this if you even think about sending your child to Erath. I'm currently going to this school, and as for someone who has had relatives who go there, and has asked them or their opinion on this too, this school is not worth it. The teachers, more often than not, don't care about what you (as a student) or what your child has to say. To be frank, there is only maybe about two or three teachers who actually treat their students with respect, and care about their opinion. I have often experienced the teacher's angry personalities, in which, most seem to have a superiority complex. They commonly yell to you, or your child if they need help, and a lot don't even try to assist if extra help is needed. Not to mention, that not specifically this school, but this whole parish has a problem of oversexualizing girls with the limited dress code that the girls have on the days they can wear free dress. Another problem, that still goes unnoticed by most is the bullying. Here at this school, it seems like if you move, and join this school late, you are an outcast. You can tell a teacher about any of the bullying, and if that teacher does not tell the principle, then the problem seems to go unnoticed. Along with the bad bullying problem, a lot of the boys, mostly found in football, are known to be EXTREMLY homophobic, transphobic, and racist. This is a major problem for the black community and the LGBT community. Lastly i would like to acknowledge the overall look, and schedule of the school. First, there is only a 30-minute lunch. With the number of kids that are in that school, and the short lunch time, most kids have to eat in their classes. This does not give them much of a break, like lunch time is supposed to do. This can cause a lot of stress for the kids attending the school. This, for a school, or any place, is not acceptable

This is the second year my child attends this school. It has been nothing but positives and I have been super happy with both of his teachers. They absolutely care and it shows. He also rides the bus, and I adore the driver. She keeps everyone in line, aka SAFE, and adores her riders. The way my child is excited over school has this mama really happy.
