"Perfect place to raise a family. It’s quite, safe, and most homes have plenty of yard space. Also everyone is super friendly."
  • Jennifer B.
"De Leon Springs is a little area just north of DeLand, FL. It is just far enough away from big cities to be able to enjoy the stars in the night sky, but close enough to everything that you can be on Daytona Beach in just 30 minutes or in Orlando in just an hour. DeLeon Springs is also the home to one of Florida's most popular state parks, having a beautiful natural spring pool surrounded by beautiful 200+ year old oak trees with multiple nature trails and canoe and paddle boat rentals. Oacala National Forest is also just a quick 15 minute road trip to the North. If you like small towns, DeLand, just to the south of town is is home to Stetson University. In recent years, DeLand's downtown area has become home to a thriving art scene with amazing beer and wine bars like The Abbey and Cafe DaVinci and several restaurants with flavors from around the world as well as some local home style cooking, oh if you are in DeLand, stop at Belly Busters and get a Steak and Cheese all the way. You can thank me later :) The home town feel of this area is great for young families with kids too. There are always art fests and family friendly things to do. Not to mention the beach is only 30 minutes away weather you head over to the ever popular Daytona Beach or go just a little bit north to the quieter Ormond Beach. This area of Florida just can't be beat. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It gives a whole new meaning to the term Central Florida. It really is central to everything you live in Florida for. "

"DeLeon Springs is the best kept secret in Florida. Close proximity to the state's top-rated state park, Stetson University, and historical downtown DeLand, it is a beautiful area to live."
  • Coni P.
"I have lived here with my family for 7 years, and it is a safe, clean community. I can easily suggest this area for families or retirees."
