8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBackground: parent of three children, one of whom has finished elementary schoolAssessment: recommend with reservationsPros: Physical facilities are state of the art. Its highly diverse student body and location near Purdue are great assets. Extracurricular activity offerings are impressive.Mixed: Great variation exists in the quality of administrators and teachers. We've had both awesome experiences and awful ones. A curriculum director is much needed to ensure more consistency. Cons: It's all but impossible to change classrooms or even schools after a month or so, so if your child and his/her teacher are a poor fit, you're stuck until the end of the school year unless you leave the corporation. Disciplinary enforcement priorities can be baffling--we've experienced both draconian punishments and dereliction of duty. The corporation's two high schools start school at 7:30 A.M. and Klondike doesn't begin until 9:30 A.M.! Extracurricular (read: athletics) tail may be wagging the academic dog.Parent Review8mo ago16 Reviews - Klondike Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school for my daughter. IThey make sure the students keep time and are accountable in their studies my daughter has maintained good grades even in subjects she dislikes. . I like the population at this school. It’s not too crowded which makes it’s easy for my daughter to interact and she has never experienced bullying as the staff deal with bullying as soon as it crops up. Am glad the school is getting a brand new building it’s beautiful and modern and will have more advanced resources. Thank you to all staff for Educating and nurturing my daughter. 10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school discriminates against any race that isn't the standard white American. Just from the percentages, you can make that inference. If you're not high middle class to middle class, and white, then there's no future for you to get from the school and their discrimination. They make it a point to discipline only colored students for their wrongs. The standard Caucasian student can get into physical altercations and be expelled for the rest of the semester but if a colored student does it, they are expelled for the rest of their high school career at this institution.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 110 E Pine Ave.

"I work remotely so there is no commute. Traffic isn’t too bad in the morning when school is not in session."

"I've lived here 30 years and seen it transition and grow, it has always been beautiful and safe. Lots of families with kids playing. Friendly neighbors and neighborhood gatherings. On the outskirts of Purdue campus and in the best public school district in the state. "

"Town that is built around the university, safe area, and good schools. Overall a nice family area to raise a family. Most shopping is out in Lafayette area, which is totally different in character! "

"There are many places to walk dogs and keep them well cared for as well as grooming and boarding. There are, unfortunately, a few negligent dog owners who allow their dogs to run loose which sometimes complicates enjoying the outdoors with your pet. "
