Description

A wall of flowers greets you as soon as you pull up to the curb in front of this cozy 3-Bedroom ranch w/ walk out basement/garage.

The front driveway is surrounded by stone walls embellished by small groupings of succulent plants. You can park in the garage, the front driveway and on the curb and in the back, there is a private parking spot with wheelchair access/ramp that makes loading and unloading into the main floor VERY convenient for disabled persons or for warehousing items for e-commerce!

The wheelchair accessible entrance goes into a room that could serve as an office, or as a bedroom for someone with limited mobility. This entrance could be a private entrance for a boarder, as there are two more entry doors on the front and side of the house. The soils in this yard are great for growing flowers and veggies in the summer months.

There are two restrooms. The restroom on the main level is shared and has a grab bar near the commode, and open area under the sink so someone in a chair can roll up and reach the sink. The large shower also allows those with mobility challenges to move comfortably with or without an assistant. Pocket doors also make it easier to move through the halls and into the bedrooms without interference. The 11'6 x 15' eat-in kitchen has open upper shelves, and a good amount of storage and counter space for a home this size. There is a working refrigerator, stove and dishwasher (Included) and space for a small table in front of the large windows that face the front yard. The 11'6 x 20' Living Room features hardwood floors and freshly painted walls. There is a front door in the living room that opens to a small deck with paved walkway which connects the front yard to the curb access and side door.

Downstairs you will find a 10'9 x 24'6 basement bonus area with new laminate flooring, a 10'6 x 18'6 utility and laundry area with coated concrete floor and a 1/2 bathroom with a lot of storage (and room for more). The bonus area in the basement opens into the garage/workshop. The entire home has updated electric switches, outlets and arc fault breakers. The home is attached to town sewer and water service and is only a minute or two walk from McFarland building and an easy walk to the downtown shopping and offices.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"Lack of fenced yards, noisy barking dogs in town, lose dogs, irresponsible owners. We probably won’t stay living in this area long"
  • Kayden Goodrich
"You absolutely need to own a car while living in this area. While things are relatively close I would not walk to shopping or work. "
  • George Mackinnon
"I moved here 3 years ago and there are a lot of good neighbors. There is good sking nearby, good mountain biking, close to Burlington, good fly fishing and good restaurants "
  • Sarah Rose
"I don’t know. I’m sure they would like it. Barre seems to be a dog friendly place. Dog ownership is the least of your worries in Barre. The city is literally crumbling. "
  • Nola.j.ricci
"Annual weekend city-wide festival. Limited entertainment and food, but worthwhile nonetheless. Very small weekly farmers market. "
  • Nola.j.ricci

  • Galee
"Family friendly area with many transplanted young families bringing joy, ideas, and new life to the area.Retirees who've lived here for ages enjoy sharing historical information. Beautiful neighborhood with well maintained homes and gardens. Downtown looks amazing with makeovers to the old buildings and new buildings bringing jobs and new opportunities to Barre. Some new restaurants and stores recently opened and there are opportunities for other businesses to grow, open, thrive."
  • Renee
"5 minute walk to downtown, extremely convenient to all amenities."
  • nella3868
"Very convenient to Barre and Montpelier. School bus stop in front of house. Fenced lot for privacy."
  • Jen74
"The home is only 10 years old, we are non-smokers and my back yard abuts a radio station. It is fully wooded and will never be developed. Also, neither of my neighbors are junky and the only foot traffic are the kids riding their bikes and neighbors walking their dogs. "
