This is a giant factory without enough conveyor belts. The school is too small and has been for a long time. If your child is in AP classes or above average then they will be treated like gold. For the average student they will suffer. You cannot get an appointment with someone until there is some sort of crisis. My daughter almost wet her pants because she had to go to the bathroom and the bathrooms are locked at all times. No more than 3 students can go in at a time. Teachers have to sit and scan students in to go to the bathroom like they are checking out merchandise at Walmart. In a school district where many of the students are from other countries why are all the teachers and staff white? The same is true when you go to the board of education to register your child for school. Everyone is white there. When I attended parent/teacher conferences the majority of teachers talked down to me as though I am stupid. Just because I don't have a degree in chemistry or math does not mean I am dumb. I am happy that we left and my daughter now attends parochial school.

Very bad school system from the principal and the office not make anything for make the school better !!!And every wrong not make anything the school I don’t know where the board from that!!!

We have been part of the School 13 community for eight years now. All of the teachers from kindergarten through fifth grade are wonderful! The communication to the families and community are outstanding from both classroom teachers and administration. The PTA and PBSIS provide many opportunities through fun events for families to come together. The turnouts are always wonderful! I do have a child who needs special education services. The Special Education teacher is wonderful; however, I do feel that additional teachers in the Special Education Dept would benefit the students of School 13. The principal is really supportive and easy to talk to. Both the principal and assistant principal genuinely care about the students and staff and their well-being. They make the school feel like a safe, positive and welcoming place for students to learn and build a love for learning. I highly recommend School 13 to any new families coming to the area.
