    This is one of the rare square, 3-acre corner lots in Fern Forest. Near the front of the subdivision, possible views from a second floor because property and surrounding forest is lightly forested with Ohia trees surrounded by native Uluhe ferns and wild flowers. No invasive trees visible. May have been hand-cleared before; may have curved driveway-size opening through the trees, but land does not appear to have been machine cleared.

    Private with little traffic, you can enter your property conveniently from one or both roads - Omeka or Ala Naulani. Fern Forest has generally well-graded roads, and Omeka is in good shape. Electric poles run on both roads, but on other side, so access is nearby with no poles on your own property. Lot 41 starts on Omeka at pole 82 to corner, and ends at pole 31 on Ala Naulani, 375 ft by 348 ft approximately - nearly square!

    Accessible to both Hilo and Kona sides of the island, the cooler climate and ample rainfall give you lots of options for growing and living comfortably. At about 1900 ft. elevation, lot is almost level and about half way between the ocean and Volcano.

      "To the town of Pahoa it’s only about nine minutes. For a commute to Hilo it’s closer to 35. Most of the things that we need are within a 10 minute drive. But this allows for quiet neighborhoods and fairly dark skies at night for stargazing. Traffic is usually light except when there is construction. Even when is there is it’s usually only a momentary delay. "

      "The neighborhood in general is very excepting of dogs and most people have them. Most people observe leash laws and keep their dogs in check. Dog’s seem to represent a measure of security for the house owner. There are no dog parks per se in this area but plenty of quiet streets to walk your dog on. "
