Terrible leadership. The principal is biased and targets boys. They have to be perfect or else they get detentions for doing really nothing wrong. Such a shame because the other Wayland schools are good. So many upset parents.

The teachers and staff are very condescending and tacky. Of the 4 teachers we have dealt with, one is a great teacher.

My children attend R.J. Steeby Elementary and I have never been more pleased. The leadership in this school signifies active involvement in the students' learning. Teachers are concerned about my children and all students in their classrooms. There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in the school and their child's learning. I love the Steeby Supercats.

both my kids have learning issues. cognitive,math ,writing. Wayland Union Schools helped both my children that have low academic scores. to graduate.

This year has been nothing short of a challenge for us. We've been in the district for approximately 8 years and have never had issues until this year. Our child's 4th grade teacher, to put it lightly, is very unpleasant. She plays favorites, singles out select students, doesn't communicate or return emails and comes across as judgmental, condescending and narcissistic. Other students and their parents have expressed the same.
