"We don’t have any dog parks in Waconia but we have several near by in Victoria and Watertown. We also have a great pet store with a pet wash."
  • Dean Hedstrom
"Waconia is a great town with a great school program. There are also lots of activities in the area."
  • Jeffrey Thoms
"We need a dog park and more walkability in our neighborhoods. We also need more public recreational facilities such as outdoor tennis courts, outdoor pickleball courts, outdoor basketball courts, outdoor hockey rinks etc. "
  • Jeffrey Thoms
"Tons of dogs all over the place. I personally have two dogs, however the city itself is not very walkable and there are no dog parks. "
  • Jeffrey Thoms
"They would like how many other dogs are also living in the area. Decent yard sizes. No dog park which is not great. "
  • Kittypurrrrrry
"Downtown is quite cute. I love the water. We have a few nice playgrounds for children. In the few years I’ve lived here we’ve gotten a lot more places to eat out."
  • casti
"Many families with young children. There are many parks nearby and the schools are amazing! Very safe and clean! "
  • Janineolsonhome
"I love living in Waconia !! Love the small town feel and the schools I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else "
  • chrislangin
"Waconia has great schools, is a growing area and just a wonderful place to live. We love the lake life, walking to town for ice cream and also taking the kids to city square park. All of these are within walking distance of our home and it is very enjoyable to be in such a great location. You have to live here too to see what I mean!"
  • Zarazua25
"I used to live in Waconia, but had to move due to a job transfer. I had two children in the Waconia school district. One at Clearwater Middle school and one at Southview. Waconia is a wonderful community with lots to do. The education my kids received was of very high quality and the teachers really care. The town itself is very cozy with many activities for families. There is the lake of course, which has a nice beach, and there is a movie theater, bowling alley, ice skating rink, a very nice community center and walking paths around the the lake, though they don't go all the way around, and many shops in the downtown area. The only negative thing I have to say about Waconia is that it is a bit far from the twin cities, so depending on where you work, you might have a bit of a drive."
  • Genine
"We live in this area and love all that is has to offer. Before we purchased this home, we would come to the area on the weekends to relax, enjoy a good cup of coffee, visit local antique shops, enjoy the lake and nature areas. Now living here is the best!"
