"Not many fences surrounding homes for dogs. Not many dog parks nearby. Not many people pick up after their dogs. "
  • Trulia User
"it's close to all the shopping you need. public transportation is close. diverse neighborhood. not safe, scary, painful"
  • Trulia User
"This used to be a great neighborhood, but due to many side streets being over run by homeless camps, it has gone down hill quickly. Unfortunately the gateway transit center is not helpful in limiting vagrant foot traffic. The public parks are surrounded by homeless camps. Not an area I would want to bring up kids anymore."
  • Hayleymae68
"The MAX station is a 15-minute walk from my house. I don’t drive, so that is my option for transportation. There are not a lot of desirable stores and/or restaurants in our neighborhood so walking to destinations is not ideal. "
  • Deanna
"The neighborhood park needs updating. People drive very fast on the streets that don’t have speed bumps. "
  • Deanna
"Quiet neighborhood, I feel safe but my street doesn’t have sidewalks or speed bumps. Some people do drive fast. Park can use upgrading. "
  • Deanna
"Lots of families. Very quiet neighborhood. Needs an updated playground as park is very busy during the summertime. "
  • Cheryl K.
"people are pretty fantastic around here lots of smiles head nodding grins hand waves very few young people this aera has a look t of retirement and seniors TRULLY a great part of Portland boundaries parkrose ,gateway, maywood park are in this aera come visit and you too will say it's a fantastic part of Portland don't sit in suspense come on over to the aera an check it out and you will agree to all that has been said here"
  • Chloe E.
"Although it is the bustle of the North our neighborhood is actually very well managed and quiet. I enjoy the area a lot. Especially considering we are so close to all 3 of my children’s school."
  • Phoover37
"Lived her for 18 years and close to freeways, max and shopping"
