This is some of the best grazing land and hay meadows in Arkansas. The top soil is deep, rich and fertile. The 28 acre meadow by the house regularly produces more than 150 4x5 round bales per cutting. we also regularly cut hay on 60+ more acres of pasture land without hitting a rock. 5 ponds (some spring fed) on the farm with 3 being large ponds stocked with fish. 2 large barns for hay and equipment along with several more out buildings. 2200+ square ft older but solid and nice farm house with large porches and carport attached overlooking the farm with beautiful views. The farm is fenced and cross fenced several times. It borders National Forest for approximately 1 mile on 3 different sides. It is just 1/4 mile from the Dragover float camp on the Ouachita River and 7 miles from the Ouachita lake. 11 miles to the nearest town of Mount Ida. The house is about 1/2 mile from the paved road on a good gravel road that is regularly maintained. We regularly see deer and turkeys on the farm and we hunt on it as well as on the National Forest. I have pictures of really great bucks on the farm. Set on the porch and watch the cows while watching wildlife at the same time. This cattle farm has the seclusion and quietness that many people are searching for. You can fish in the ponds, river, or nearby lake, ride horses or atv’s for miles, hunt, shoot, and just enjoy life on your own property. Raise your own food here to be self sustained and live off the grid. Not many farms like this come up for sale in this area.
