Bruceton School is a wonderful place for children! The teachers are caring and work hard to provide the best for our children. One of the counselors is brand new and the other is kind of lazy, but not terrible. She also tends to buy into teacher cliques. Both secretaries are amazing! They work hard and are super helpful. One of the custodians works his behind off on a daily basis. The female custodian could do a little more and the other male custodian just shows up for his paycheck. The kitchen staff is finally a great group of people, with a strong manager. Our kids are getting the best food school food they’ve had at Bruceton in years! As for administration, the assistant principal has been the only consistent face for many years and she is amazing! The only people who ever complain about her are parents of children who are constantly in trouble or staff members who have been corrected by her. It would be nice if she could get a head principal who genuinely cares about the school/kids and works half as hard as she does, instead of riding her skirt tail and taking credit for many of the things she does! Regardless, we’ve had two children pass through Bruceton School, currently have one there, and our family loves it! Go Bulldogs!

I couldn't help but realize that more than half of these reviews were posted in the early 2000s; therefore, I just couldn't stop myself from writing this review. Things have drastically changed over the course of ten years, and not for the better. This place is absolutely one of the WORST high schools I have ever seen within the history of this nation. Education practically isn't there, structure of the building is terrible (I have no idea how it's still standing), students are racist and rude, some teachers are on a power trip and try to embarrass/ridicule you (there are really only a few that actually care about your education), and some students have to teach themselves online because some teachers don't know what they're doing. Overall, it's a complete and utter dump, and it's not a very friendly (nor clean) environment. I wouldn't even give this place a one-star. In fact, ignore the star. This "school" doesn't even deserve one. If you want to feel the high that comes with great success, don't look here. You won't find it.
