1918 restored farm house on 2.56 acres. 2 bedrooms but one bedroom upstairs could be made into two. Screened front porch with swing. gingerbread trim on front of house.House just painted inside and out. Country kitchen with old cast iron double sink and 2 large pantry's. Large double door refrigerator included, 1 bathroom with clawfoot tub. Room to put 1/2 bath off laundry room. Laundry room washer and dryer included. Wood and tile floors. Central air and heat. 2 large sheds. One shed with electric and phone facing Maricamp Road, tool house, horse corral with one horse stall, and building for storing hay, huge dog house. New shingle roof on back of house and metal roof over rest just few years old. Large attic with fan installed. Whole house fan in upstairs bedroom. In back of property a two bedroom 1 bath trailer with new siding and roof in 2008. Fireplace in trailer and washer, dryer stove and refridgerator included. Trailer has L shaped deck. Carport and shed. Lots of big shade trees on property. Two year old riding lawn mower included with sale. House also has hidden closet excellent for hiding presents from the kids. Under contract with terminex against termites. ADT security on doors.

Neighborhood Description

The county lists my home as an Ocala adddress but I actually live in Candler. Candler is very small country town. Basically a traffic light and a little Mini Mart store and postoffice. You have the peacefullness of the country but with everything you need close by. Highschool is 1/2 mile away. 2 hardware stores, Mcdonalds about 1/2 mile past highschool. Just a few miles to 3 separate shopping centers with grocery stores, Blockbuster, 3 dollar stores, and Sam St. Johns Seafood restaurant, Hungry Howies, Als Brick City restaurant (best steaks in the world), Chinese take out, hair salons. Walmart is suppose to be coming soon. Very little need to travel to Ocala or Belleview for what you need. Ocala is about 20 to 25 minutes to hwy 200 depending on traffic. Belleview about 10 minutes. Safe neighborhood and nice neighbors. I have been here about 14 years. Wonderful place to live. Love it. Hate to sell it, but retiring and moving to Maryland near my daughter.

With all the land being destroyed around us there are more and more sightings of bears etc. Always keep your pets on a leash and carry a blow horn, pepper spray and maybe even a taser. You never know is when you might have to try to rescue your fur baby. Better safe than sorry. "

Ocala has some things for little children, but it mainly caters to the adult and wealthy populations (ie, downtown & WEC). There is little to nothing to do as a teenager/young adult, or a poor person, for free or low cost. Ocala’s refusal to cater to the young adult and poor population has been a very direct contributor to the rise of drug use and violent crime. "

    "The weather here is amazing! The Neighborhood is a diverse area with many friendly people. Lots of people walk on the long sidewalk that rust along Marion Oaks Trail. There is also endless paved/dirt trails to ride on the Green Way. I ride my E-trike to the trailhead on 49th ave, it’s 10 minutes from my house, there is another trailhead near by as well. There’s a 2 story Publix, 711, hair place, nail place and a Walmart within 5 miles from here. Plus the Beach is 45 minutes away. The Rainbow River is 20 minutes away And they are all super easy to find. "
