Description
Not your average apartment. ... more like a home.
Gorgeous open 1,500 square foot lower flat in Craftman duplex with many period details lovingly restored. Two bedrooms, one bath. Full sized both living and dining rooms. In addition you'll find private outdoor space for your pleasure or entertaining (private though shared with 2nd unit). Plenty of room for living! and space for home office(s) if needed as well.
Full size dining room (13'x14' fits table seating 8-10) in addition to an even bigger living room (18'x14') that includes fully functioning gas-burning fireplace. French doors separate living from dining as desired. Lots of wonderful detail: coved ceilings, hardwood floors with parquet detail, built-ins, and beautiful top down/bottom up blinds in Living and Dining rooms allow complete control of lighting and privacy (enough of the mini blinds! no?).
Kitchen includes original built-ins in lovely unusual kitchen nook as well as soft close drawers and cupboards in cooking area. Dishwasher. Vented exhaust fan, gas stove, and butcherblock counters.
Two bedrooms (17'x11' and 12'x13') located away from street in back. Huge master bedroom has two closets. Second bedroom opens directly into backyard. Both are super quiet and private.
Bathroom includes Claw-foot soaking tub (faucets in middle allows 2 soakers comfortably).
Most windows are energy and sound efficient double pane. Free shared laundry in basement. Additional storage possible.
Flat has doors opening front, side and back.
*Backyard includes Redwood deck with full sized table and bistro lights ready for outside entertaining. There are raised beds for gardening should you wish. Back/side area is securely fenced.
*Front yard includes abundant Meyer Lemon, Blueberries, Fig and French plum trees. Also Apple and Cherry (though these aren't yet producing much). You'll enjoy watching the hummingbirds, bees and butterflies attracted to CA natives most of the year.
The house sits up a bit up and off the street. It's super roomy, comfortable, peaceful, quiet: kind of away from it all while just out your front door and down your front steps you have easy access to neighborhood amenities, the 580, and all the great Bay Area things you love.
20 minutes walk to Lakeshore (including TJ's) and 15 walk to Glenview shopping areas. Just a couple blocks to quick bus to SF and 580 (w/o traffic 15 minute drive to downtown San Francisco. 10 minutes to Redwood Park)
Very sweet safe neighborhood (top of a hairpin means almost no through traffic).
Well behaved dog lives upstairs. Another quiet well behaved dog is welcome, but must get on with current pup and have references (and will require any additional deposit). Not really a good set up for cats.
Excellent credit score and proof of income required. 1 year lease then month to month. Tenant pays PGE, internet, cable (if desired). Upper and lower flat share water. Garbage, recycling, and compost are included in rent.
Reach out with questions, or to arrange a viewing time. and Good Luck in your search for a perfect home!
