  • Veronica Stone
"Lake in the Hills is a great neighborhood for raising kids and building a family. It’s safe, peaceful, and full of friendly neighbors who look out for one another. There are plenty of parks, playgrounds, and family-friendly activities throughout the year. The schools are solid, and it feels like a true community where kids can ride their bikes, play outside, and grow up with great memories. "
  • Veronica Stone
"Pleasant neighborhood with a lot of families and by good schools. ………………………Great Libraries and restaurants and shops! "
  • Raypage55
"No sidewalks in old section. Old section is neglected, not interested in code enforcement police only worried about speeders in front of police station nowhere else"
  • Tausha
"The school district is amazing, some neighborhoods are older generation though, not many kids around. Some neighborhoods feel they’re richer than others. Good shopping but route 47 as well as Randall road get contested. I love it here, just being real"
  • Veronica Quiroz
"Houses decorated for Halloween and Christmas. Bus tour to see Christmas light houses. We live close to Algonquin, Huntley, Crystal Lake, we can go any community event. The Sunset festival the best. I love the rock bands!"
  • Tausha
"Sunset and many other festivals are wonderful. Plenty of open space and parks, including skate board and dog park"
  • Paramvir S.
"Nice safe place to be with kids and family good schools all the major stores near by friendly people "
  • Amanda L. C.
"Not sure. I’m not a dog owner. I see many residents walking dogs, or having dogs in their yards. Not all neighbors have sidewalks. And most roads are narrow, only allowing 1 car to drive on, up and down steep hills. "
  • Faith
"Commute is light and easy. Randall gets backs up occasionally but traffic isn’t bad. Neighborhood is great "
  • Trulia User
"Owners dog like living in this neighborhood. Neighbors are walking with their dogs and picking up after dogs."
  • Kyrsti21
"Our Neighborhood has an easy commute to nearby train station and easy drive to highways, great parks and lots of dining and shopping"
  • Krystyna.kamka
"Sunset park has great events. We can watch the 4th of July from our front porch. Dog park is minutes away. There is also a skate park, well maINTAined and clean"
  • Amy F.
"no sidewalks and overhead wires. just lovely when it storms. there are a lot of rental properties which equate to people driving around here too fast ignoring the speed limit and stop signs"
  • Amyjanis
"Sunset park has great festivals. Close to schools. Great park/splash pad/fields/skate park. Awesome dog park. Great walking path."
  • Caitlyn A. M.
"There’s a few families who let their dog run off leash often. They would like the vast amount of available trails and sidewalks though with dog poop disposal areas available as well. "
  • AngelKC
"Near tons of things. Wonderful community. Busy and quiet, the perfect mix for all types of families and singles. "
  • Kacy K.
"There aren’t many neighborhood events in the area now that the kids on my block are grown and moved out. "

"I've lived in the neighborhood for many years. crazy people and nice people . mostly crazy . I don't enjoy it here"
  • Trulia User
"I live in this neighborhood for almost 20 years and I love it. Next to my townhouse is cinema and a lot of restaurants and stores. I can walk to stores and banks as well."

"I live in this area, and have for over 20 years! I came from Schaumburg, but still wanted convenience, shopping and restaurants. Also it is more affordable than Schaumburg, but almost has the same amenities. Great Schools and Safety. Don't want to move anywhere else! "
