The school has changed drastically. Location change has made a very positive different. Security is very important. Education and student well-being is top priority. My child has been on the AB and A honor this year along with several others. They are engaged and excited to learn. They are doing great things with the students and education, along with respecting everyone is extremely important.

Parents and students seeking academic success...BEWARE. HCHS has great potential, but the root of its failure is the community. Teachers/superintendents have all been trained to do their job properly and do care at the core. The student body is however overwhelming the system through their choices and way of life constraining their motivations to reach their goals. It seems as education is not the first priority for many students, not saying all are like that, but its what is shown. On the plus side, the school has a good athletic program and most students show interest in participating. Faculty has shown great interest in pushing forth the dress code, but most students have failed to notice that it is the first step to provide the order and discipline required for a successful academic year and those more to come. Most students need to learn to follow the rules; their voices are heard but disciplinary cooperation is also needed back from them. - Former student
