About this House

Hello,I have a room for rent in Midwood, Brooklyn. We a half block away from the Ave J train station on the Q line. You can also transfer to the B train two stops away, and the F train is about a 10-15 min walk. Taking the Q or B takes just 35 mins to Union Sq! There is plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area. Such as a pretty good coffee shop, public library, Walgreens, Dunkin Donut, Target, supermarkets etc. We are also on the same block as DiFara Pizza! And the Seamless in the area is pretty good. The apt is very quiet, clean and tidy. I'd love for it to stay that way! We have one of the best kitchens I've seen in NY with a lot of storage space. The apt is always warm in the winter. Both of us are pretty low key. We have our girlfriends over every weekend, but we mostly keep to ourselves.I'm a 26 year-old guy from Miami. I have been living in NYC for the past 8 years (yikes). I work as a barista. I dabble in photography, record collecting, and cooking. I have been practicing Ashtanga yoga for 5 years, along with zazen meditation but I'm not the preachy type. The other guy works in retail management in Midtown. Originally from Texas. He's a friendly guy that isnt home very often. The pictures speak for themselves I suppose. The room can have a futon, table, tv stand, and side table if needed. Huge closet, lots of light from the windows, and very spacious. There is WiFi throughout, and no cable. Utilities are included in rent, unless you are running a heater or air conditioner, or something of the sort. The move-in date is January 1st. First month's rent and security deposit are required upon moving in. Looking for long term tenant but short term is also an option. I will be asking to see proof of income, so please be ready to show a few recent pay stubs. Please only reply if you are clean, quiet and respectful and like the apartment to be likewise!I am looking for a long term roommate, but I am flexible. If you use an A/C or space heater you will be charged extra on the electric bill, otherwise ConEd and Wifi are included.
