Description

We're leaving the country for a year and looking for great people to sublet our fully furnished 2-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom duplex in Encinitas (starting mid-February 2021).

This place is an Encinitas gem! Located a mile from the beach, the home is filled with light all hours of the day and feels like a stand-alone bungalow. We only share one wall with one neighbor (and sound does not travel so there's no neighbor noise whatsoever), there are three outside patio spaces, fruit trees, and a good-sized yard with 2 raised garden beds if you'd like to plant a garden.

There is one master bedroom, and the smaller bedroom is set up as an office (with 2 desks), so it's a perfect work-from-home space. The master bedroom has a large balcony with ocean views in the distance so you can watch the sunset over the ocean every day.

The place is fully furnished with the kitchen stocked with everything you need (and then some) as we love to cook. We just ordered a new custom couch that arrives in late January, so you'll get to enjoy a brand new couch :)

There is a connected 1-car garage with plenty of space for surfboards, bikes, or other toys (although we'll be storing some of our things in the garage, so there won't be enough room for a car). The street is super quiet and located in a great neighborhood right by San Dieguito High School.

We really love our home, so we're looking for trustworthy and reliable tenants to take care of it while we are gone!

Sublet Dates: February 13, 2021 - February 12, 2022 *

* We can be a bit flexible with the move-in date around mid-February

- Large windows and sliding glass doors make the home bright and ocean breezy
- Ground-level patio with propane BBQ and grassy backyard
- 2 large raised garden beds if you want to grow veggies
- Fruit trees: apricot, loquat, and plum
- 2 parking spots off the street (and plenty of street parking)
- 20-minute walk to the beach and downtown Encinitas

Monthly Rent: $3,100
Plus Utilities ($260 - $312 per month depending on your usage):
 - SDGE (electricity): $60 - $115 per month
 - Water: $75 - $115 every 2 months
 - Internet: $60 per month
 - Monthly cleaning: $100 per month

Our ideal renters:

 - Will take great care of our place and belongings while we are gone

Things that won't work:
 - Pets (we love them, but our landlords won't allow them)
- Blasting music

    "The neighborhood is a mix of retired people and new families. It’s not as communal as other cities I’ve lived in with many people driving in and out of the community and then staying inside or in their backyard. The gates parks prohibit kids meeting there unless they belong to an association. It’s odd to see a gated park that children cannot play on , meet new kids that live across the street, etc. I’m used to larger cities where there are more public places to gather, meet your neighbors, and create a stronger community."
