Three of my children have attended here and had positive experiences. When we moved away in 2022, they were well prepared to enter a high level academic school in our new state. The administration, teachers and support staff care about the children and so their best to support them. My kids especially loved having a support dog in the school.

My African American son attended this school for second grade and suffered a head injury. I wasn't made aware of the situation when it occurred, but I knew something happened because my son was complaining of having a headache and he was having a difficult time getting up the next morning. I find out about the incident the following day after exiting the school building. I noticed the PE teacher and ask him about my son's head because it occurred during PE. The staff member explained that he didn't see what happen, but noticed "my son had a mixture of blood and sweat on his forehead" I was outraged because I wasn't informed of such an serious injury. I, then went back to the school and withdrew my son from Washington Elementary School that day. I still can't believe that my son wasn't sent to the nurse office nor was I made aware of the situation for further medical treatment. I am still in disbelief about the way my child's injury was handled and the lack of concern for the safety of my child..
