My child was being bullied in this school & it literally didn't stop for 3 years, until he finally moved to a different school district with his father during our divorce. He posted to social media after his father left, "nobody please bully me tomorrow". Prior to that, a whole different school year, 2 sisters were bullying him, no matter how many times I reported it to the school. They would essentially do nothing. One time they even tried to turn it around on my son, for making a comment to the bullies, after they pulled him from class. He is on the autistic spectrum, high functioning but he thought the school was going to put a stop to it, he has to file an official report & he declined but it was a misunderstanding because his social understanding can be confusing for him. He is a really sweet kid & he did really well getting a fresh start at a new school. He went on to play sports & excelled in a completely different environment. I would not recommend Shippensburg if you feel your child has any social disabilities & could be a target for bullying.I have heard from other parents the school is really bad with bullying, so they have pulled their kids to do virtual. I was a student here also & had the same experience, middle & HS. Aside from those issues, this is a sport centered school. There was no clubs offered when I asked the school to help them so they were getting enrichment. The only reason this school doesn't get 1 star is because I have been to inner city schools myself & I know how bad schools can get.

I am extremely disappointed in this school and the way it has handled serious safety issues involving my daughter. She went through months of severe bullying, including kids threatening to jump her and other students trying to sell her what they claimed were fentanyl-laced vapes. Despite multiple reports, nothing meaningful was done to protect her or stop the behavior. On top of that, the school failed to take appropriate action when intimate photos of a 14-year-old student were leaked. A situation that should have been treated as an urgent and serious matter. Instead, it was brushed aside, and the students responsible faced little to no consequences. The environment here is genuinely toxic. Too many of the kids are cruel, and the lack of accountability only makes it worse. My daughter deserved a safe place to learn, and this school did not provide that. I would not recommend sending your child here until major changes are made.

This is a great school and my kids love it there. The teachers and staff are excellent and really care about their students and the education they get!

I have a 2nd grader and one on K, and we feel the school does a great job overall in all areas.
