10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is greatly understaffed. They have one guidance counselor, one AP and one principal just like all the other schools in the district, but 1000 students instead of 500ish. They have the highest concentration of ELL students, but no ESOL teacher or extra testing coordinators. The physical building has extreme rodent issues. I also heard they’re cutting their music program. PE program is a student management nightmare. The art room was completely trashed with YEARS of clutter and garbage shoved in every corner. I saw a special needs aide ask for kisses from a student when the student was being dismissed early.. very off putting and strange. Not sure why the district is leaving this school so completely under staffed.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Fort Walton Beach High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love FWBHS. Hands down this school has some serious school spirit and has brought a different side of my child out. This is what High School years should be all about. This school is amazing for Academics and their Athletic departments. Truly offers both without favoring one over the other.Parent Review6y ago13 Reviews - Destin Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSuperb. Do not hesitate in sending your child here. The faculty are very friendly and work diligently to help the kids. My child has ADHD and is excelling in this school.Parent Review8y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 1050 Highway 98 E #E102.

"I don’t live in Destin, I live in Baker, FL. I think dog owners would, give or take, like my neighborhood. It’s a farm neighborhood, but it depends on what dog they have. If they have acreage and a working dog, they’ll love it. If they have a lab or something like that, they might get run over"

"My commute is 2 miles from my home and takes an average of 6 minutes to get there. The summer tourist traffic is not as bad as it used to be now that the road construction is finished. "

"It takes 30 minutes during the summer to get to my job and i live 5 minutes away. There should be a light in front of my current apartment complex but there isn’t, since there isn’t theres an accident there at least 2 times a month. Also there used to be a side street that residents could use to be able to bypass 98 but someone bought the property its on and has done NOTHING with the property but has COMPLETELY blocked off the road. "Everyday interaction really, from getting to know the neighborhood kids to giving advice or lending a hand . Everyone here knows everyone so in a way we all look out for one another . I would say that is the same overall feel I get in the neighboring cities as well . "
