"Fall is a great time here with plenty of community events. The Saturday after Columbus day is The Glocester Scarecrow Festival where the community is invited to create and display Scarecrows along Main Street in Chepachet Village. They are judged and remain in place for two weeks. The following Saturday is The Main Street Candy Giveaway where businesses pass out candy. Both children and adults get dresses up in their Halloween outfits for this event. "
