Teachers and staff have been very friendly and professional. The school feels safe. There are plenty apparent engagement activities to keep parents connected with the school. I really like this school for my kids.

Just appalling... The St Lucie County school system is broken. So happy that I can work 2 jobs and send my child to private school. No opportunity for advanced learning and the gifted program is a joke. It is all about the money the county gets for the school - If you r child is smart, apply for a scholarship for one of the private schools.. Really a travesty for the next generation. Shame on you St Lucie County,, Step up!

As a teacher, it’s truly refreshing to work in a school where student engagement, support, and safety are more than just buzzwords—they’re lived values. Chester A. Moore Elementary (CAM) has the best staff and administrators! The moment you walk in, it is evident that this is a caring place, greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming attitudes. When I talk to the teachers they say, 'This is the best place to work' - the teachers feel supported, and their happiness is reflected in the classroom. CAM has the hardest working, humble, and passionate teachers; they focus on every student’s individual needs and safety. The CAM family takes the time to know your child. It is a joyful place where kids are nurtured and seen, where individuals are appreciated and honored for the unique contributions they make to the community. Chester A. Moore Elementary is truly a school where excellence is believed and achieved by all.

Staff are at doors in the morning as students arrive. Staff look unhappy and frustrated. No good morning or smiles to students. Especially the dean that stands at doors at the drop off at the south entrance ( the drop off near cobra pride way. No smiles from her! Annoyance written on her face. Really think about this! She is the first face that some students see in the morning! My child has mentioned several times how teachers have CNN on in their classroom during the entire period. A lot of homework. I agree with homework but the amount given is ridiculous. The student/teacher ratio is off and homework overload appears to be teacher solution to having too many students - give them the work to be completed in class to do at home plus their typical homework.Sports: girls soccer coaches- is this volunteer or are you making a side hustle fee? These girls are losing respect for you. Life is hard and at the end of the day we are tired us parents understand but you signed up for this and if you can't commit and teach and coach these girls then let it go. My daughter and I have attended each game because she is interested in playing and I see no passion in the two coaches. I see exhaustion in the and the team being torn to pieces on the field by their opposing team. On a positive note- the principal does appear to genuinely care! He listens and cares for his students, staff and school. He is genuinely proud! I hope he reads this and considers making a few changes.Also, guidance counselors seem to be in there for the right reasons! Thank you for treating our students with respect and being a listening ear for them. You are appreciated!I will choose that I would recommend this school because there is potential!

I just got off the phone with this school and I am horrified.I found out that there is no open door policy, meaning I need to make an appointment with a teacher in order to visit my child's classroom.I don't know but that is extremely fishy to me and I'd rather be able to walk in a class room to know whats going on at that time then to have things setup (meaning the element of surprise, I'd see the real going ons than what is setup) Use cation here!!

If you love your child do not have them attend this school. Office front are rude and nasty, don't want to help, never know anything mentally. Drugs are passed around to students with on site police, staff, and teachers with no knowledge as to where there coming from. Subject teachers are often absent and substitute teachers have no idea what to teach or how to control the students while in class. Bus drivers are late picking up and dropping off students often. It's just an all around mess.

I am extremely unsatisfied with this school. They are very disorganized to say the least. My son was hit by another student in the chest and then was co-erced into saying it happened at home. DCF was called instead of talking with us first. We have a THREE year relationship with staff there and this claim was ridiculous and unfounded. We are taking him out of weatherbee asap.

Our experience at Allapattah so far has been great! My child currently attends Allapattah and has been going to this school since kindergarten and is now going into the 3rd grade.
