6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have not always felt this way. Table Rock was once an awesome school, most of the teachers are still great. The problem is the Principal (Felicia Simmons) and her policies. She operates the school like a prison, and does not create a positive atmosphere for learning, for children during this transitional period in their lives. She has one of the worst ratings in the county's history. I am not sure why BCPS shuffles problems around instead of getting rid of them.Parent Review9y ago2 Reviews - Freedom High

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePersonally, I love this school and the teachers in it. So far I've only found one problem and I found it out the hard way today in the student pickup line. My Daughter has various mental health disorders which we made the teachers very aware of before she ever started this school. She is here on a transfer from wa young because w.A young was neglecting her academically and had her reading and doing math on a second grade level and she's in 5th grade. Ever since she started at this school she's been bringing me home Good grades that I have never seen before. I was ecstatic. But today the school principal whom couldn't be bothered to make it to the meeting where I had to fill the teacher and guidance counselor in on her mental disabilities and disorders, the same principal who I have not spoke to even one time since she started the school, came running up to my car screaming at me like I'm a child and was utterly disrespectful to me and violated mine and my daughter's privacy by screaming at me about My daughter's behavior in front of every teacher, every student and every parent that was in that car rider line. She humiliated me. She humiliated my daughter. Because my daughter didn't have all of her meds today she wasn't herself and the teacher principal Ms. Westerfield decided the best approach would be to come to my car and scream at me about how misbehaving my child had been today. She screamed at me in front of everyone but made no attempt to speak to me about it beforehand. She didn't message me on class dojo and try to let me know what was going on so I could come down there and try and help. She did not do anything until the end of the day and then screamed at me in front of all of those people and embarrassed the life out of me and my daughter. I don't even want to show my face back at that school. I love the teachers in it. They are phenomenal. But that principal has problems, and she takes them out on the wrong people. She needs to be fired if you ask me. She should not have violated our privacy or disrespected me in any way, shape or form. She wouldn't even let me speak. She had me crying in this car Rider line, trying to apologize to her and she would scream louder over top of me and dismiss. My apologies and dismiss anything I said. She is unethical, unprofessional and utterly disrespectful. She needs to go. I want to let it be known that I WOULD recommend this school to anyone if the principal was replaced with someone more professional.Parent Review7mo ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 104 Whitley Rd.

"We have a good community, low crime rate and genuinely nice friendly people. I know all of my neighbors, and we all try to lend a helping hand when needed. We may not live in Mayberry but we have a small town feel. "

"I own a downtown condo with my wife. We both grew up in Morganton, both love it and both hope to retire and move back to Morganton! It's a great place to raise a family and offers many options for how the parents want to raise their children. Overall, you will get from it what you put into it..."

"My husband retired from the navy, 20 year service and we moved here from Norfolk Virginia. It was difficult at first but we’ve been here for about 4 years now and I love it. My son goes to New Dimensions, best school in my opinion. We are looking for our forever home here in Morganton. "
