"Commuting in town is a mix. There’s been quite a bit of road construction which has impacted getting across town. When there’s no construction, commuting is okay. "
  • Gabriela_estrada98
"There are a lot of other dogs who regularly and aggressively bark at each other. It is very annoying "
  • gimadelove@yahoo.com
"A rich mix of cultures, languages, and traditions Well-maintained neighborhoods Parks, libraries, and recreation programs"
  • Karina Garcia
"I’ve lived here for 3 years, I’ve never had any issues. Everyone is respectful and polite with one another "
  • Gabriela_estrada98
"People are actually very friendly here and social. Most people are willing to lend a helping hand when needed"
  • Vanesa
"Amazing schools and tons of parks. It’s a very safe town. It’s grown but still feels like a small community. There are a lot of activities for kids. The town is growing and has many restaurants and grocery store options with more to come."
  • Mae Calamba
"Love it here. Great place to start and raise a family. Love all the schools near by and parks. It’s a growing community."
  • Mark David Tio Baddas
"We have lots of community events year round at Central Park in Mountain House that are open not just to Mountain House residents but to Tracy, Lathrop, and Livermore residents as well. "
  • Reinadesir
"Mountain house is great feel very safe the only issues there’s no public Transportation very quiet good school everything so perfect "
  • Uyuma Uyuma
"Safe, cute, neighborhood. It is fun to love here. People are respectful and diverse. It is green, people can walk around."
  • Grant M.
"I used to work in Tracy and did a reverse commute to Tracy from San Ramon. I've seen a lot of growth since then. Neighboring Mountain House was just being developed. Now, Tracy is booming and real estate values have gotten out of hand even for Tracy. The Tracy Hills development is crazy expensive and there is currently no infrastructure there. If you can afford to live in Tracy, the Redbridge area of homes is best. Reminds me of a bygone era of tree lined streets and and beautiful homes with some being semi-custom. There is not a lot to do here, the mall is small and the only restaurant that is worth going to is Texas Road House. Most residents would likely travel to Livermore's downtown less than 20 mile west to enjoy great food and wineries. All in all, this is a "bedroom community" with a lot of commuters heading out as far as San Jose to work yet wanting to afford a home and build some roots."
  • recreo
"Great place for family and kids, good houses , clean roads , lots of natural beauty , quite and friendly neighborhood , good scenic views during fall and late winter."
  • Trulia User
"Great diverse community feeling here, quiet, but you do hear children playing, lawnmowers running. Great place to live!"
  • Cecelia T.
"It is quiet and peaceful here. Other than the screams of children and the occasional barking dog, it is eerily quiet here. We’ve lived here two years and enjoy living here."
  • Siva
"Good community to raise children’s and great schools. All kids activities are available here like tutoring, pre-schools, sports etc "
  • Redding P.
"Mountain House is good for very young children, but school age children find it boring as there is no downtown area or attractions, not even a grocery store or gas station. The weather is also very hot sunny and windy, so being outside can often be unpleasant for about half the year except for dawn and dusk in the summer. "
  • Kacooper33
"tracy has a lot of family parks, not to many paths or trails. good schools are hard to come by. The Montessori school is great!"
  • Harinath S.
"Mountain House is a great neighborhood with very good schools. Closely located to shopping center including Costco, Walmart "
  • Josephricaudjr

  • Kacooper33

"DREADFUL! If you leave and head west between 5am and 9am, the commute to Livermore is minimum 45 min to max 1.5 hr. Commute at this time to SF 2.5 hr to 4 hr. Commute to San Jose 2.5hr. If you are on Altamont pass between 2:30pm And 7:30pm expect the same "
  • Kevin H.
"people are out and about walking their dog and kids riding bikes. generally dogs are on leashes and well kempt"
  • Kaitlyn.wallace001
"They would not like all the construction everywhere but a lot of parks and places to take your dogs for a walk"
  • Clyde H.
"Music festivals bring in local musicians and musicians from the area. The music is very good and they set out chairs for you and there are a variety of food sold from trucks and beverages. Also the local restaurants are open and cater to the crowd. Farmers markets are nice to go to to support local farmers. There are many other events including Tracy Lions groups breakfast fundraisers. They have ball draws and events at the Elks Lodge. Check the Tracy Press online for more."
  • Kahn827
"We don’t have community events here other than garage sales or neighborhood forum on social media. Where the people of Tracy reports things that are happening in our area. Sometimes it’s positive other times it can be quite alarming, but despite all of that I still love it here. Within 5-10 minutes we have multiple banks, DMV, Mall, Movie theater, car dealership, Costco, target, homegoods, Marshall’s, Home Depot, target, Walmart. Etc"
  • Matt G.
"Many events during the summer, such as food truck Fridays, music in the park, little league baseball, parades"
  • Dudenothing
"Friendly neighbors and clean streets. Parks are well maintained in the area. I feel safe walking my dog late at night."
  • Michelle T.
"Neighborhood is quiet. I wanna stay here for good but the commute to my work is getting old, I need to move."
