"A lot of Festivals and runs in the neighborhood. People out walking and biking in neighborhoods and designated trails"
  • Trulia User
"The neighborhood is Walkable to many restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. Right by the Monon trail. "
  • Lnclark1084
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 16 years and loved every minute of it. Excellent walkability and great community of people. "
  • Allison D.
"There is great public transportation to downtown Indy and it’s a straight shot to get into the city by car. "
  • Travis T.
"Everything you could ever want is in walking distance. Shopping, restaurants, museums and other cultural activities etc."
  • Travis T.
"The yards on my block are spacious enough for a medium sized dog. There are plenty of places to walk a dog for exercise and an actual dog park within half a mile."
  • Caroline.schoeff
"I don’t own a dog myself so I am not sure. But I do often see others walking their dogs on the many available sidewalks as well as the Monon Trail."
  • Courtnorthvmd
"Fantastic area with a family friendly vibe. Lots to do and close to many options. Good schools and a reasonable drive to just about any Indy neighborhood "
  • Jesse Z.
"Dog owners would love Broad Ripple Park because it has a big fenced in area for dogs. They would not like the fact that not every street has sidewalks and some streets such as Westfield Blvd are only 2 lanes but have a high speed limit of 35mph."
  • Wweidenb
"Broad Ripple is a great blend of city life with a safe, comfortable community feel. The area is very walkable. "
  • Hannahreplogle
"The accessibility! We live in walking distance to so many restaurants, a Kroger, and the Monon :) We have been here for over 3 years and love it "
  • Samantha F.
"North side traffic is a nightmare unlike any other. There is extensive construction going on for the Red Line project and dedicated bus lanes that will make traffic worse in the fall. "
  • I miss Broad Ripple
"it should take about 2 minutes. because of taking car lanes away in favor of bus lanes and bike lanes, it takes 10-12 minutes and I have to drive 6 or 8 blocks out of my way. Broad Ripple was such a nice place 15 years when I moved here. now I can't wait to move. "
  • sorry, not riding a bus
"torture, the red line sucks. first they take away two car lanes from 62nd St. and replace them with bike lanes that are rarely ever used. Then they create a busline that will never be used enough to justify the cost or the businesses that closed. "
  • Edsel
"Unless you are loaded and can afford Park Tudor, you'll need to move to Carmel.........................."
  • Perry L.
"The Art fair, farmer’s market, the restaurant and bar scene all make Broadripple a great place to living. Living close to the Monon has also been incredibly enjoyable."
  • Sean M.
"Variety of shops, restaurants, bars, etc., the people, walkability. The Monon Trail. Pet friendly. Parks/trails."
  • Forest N.
"the area has become very bar oriented. while the groceries in the surrounding area all close at 12. no healthy options available for people on 2nd-3rd shifts. "
  • Tomegan1
"Dogs tend to roam free at times and drunkards as well. The traffic can be dangerous on the side streets of broad ripple"
  • Katherine
"There is crime in the neighborhood late at night. It’s easily accessible from Keystone and can attract many college kids late at night. "
  • Jggriff6329
"I have lived in this neighborhood for 15 years. It is a walkable commumity. There is accees to everything you need by foot. "
  • Courtney D.
"I have lived in Broad Ripple for the last 6 years and don't know if I will ever leave it. The neighborhood is amazingly walkable for Indianapolis. There are tons of shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs within an easy walk or short $5 cab ride. The area is also super dog friendly! Most places with outdoor seating allow dogs and even some of the shops. Plus, there is a great dog park at the local city park. The park also has a great (and affordable) pool, picnic areas, fitness classes, and it has been known to host many festivals. Broad Ripple also has a great neighborhood vibe. It is the kind of place where people look out for their neighbors and wouldn't feel silly asking for a cup of sugar. The Broad Ripple Village Association is also very involved with making sure the area retains its character and doesn't get too built up. All in all, this is a very desirable neighborhood in Indianapolis. "
