4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTwo of my children attend this school. I feel the school does a good job following the state of Ohio standards. While I believe some of the teachers are exceptional, others fail in my opinion. My other concern is the school's policy on cell phone use during school hours. However, after extensive research of other local schools I found that this is an issue in every school and needs to be addressed by the state. Additionally, i feel that any child can attend any school and be successful or fail. The students success or failure is a combination of the education received at school, the parents involvment and regulard communication with their students teachers and other staff, as well as their support and encouragement with the student at home. Together these things can make a successful student.Parent Review10y ago3 Reviews - Springfield High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWith learning, it depends on the teacher cause some teachers do it in a fun or interesting way. With teaching, it also depends on the teacher, cause I had some mean teachers who were disrespectful, but I've also had some amazing teachers who helped me so much.I don't think they prioritize mental health at all, cause I remember when I was having bad mental health, and they told me that it didn't really matter, school work did.Their special education program was actually really good and did what it needed to do, and the teacher for it was great. The staff tried to keep it safe, but really couldn't. The kids are out of control, fighting every day, but there haven't been any major incidents to happen, just fights that they try to control. When I went there, families were not really accepted, and they didn't want them anywhere near the classroom. The few things I liked were that they got rid of the major dress code because women couldn't really wear anything without getting dress-coded. I like some of the teachers I had, and I think most of them that I liked left, but they were still good teachers. The few things I hated they locked the bathrooms up like we couldn't go unless it was 10 minutes into class or ten minutes before the end of class. This took away from class time. The fights, and no matter what anyone did, there was at least 1 fight a day. The bullying when I brought it up to a trusted adult that I was getting bullied, they told me there was nothing to be done cause he was a football player, but then when I took matters into my own hands, I got written up.Other Review8mo ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near 1011 E Home Rd #1.

"Dog owners would love the yards and greenery. Dog owners should be wary of the nearby busy intersections in case pets get loose. "

"The struggle is real. Springfield was a once proud community but it is truly struggling now. Lack of resources and proper infrastructure is a huge problem along with subpar schools. "

"There is a lot of cookouts and family and community get togethers also. Our community comes together when we really need it the most. A lot of church charities and school charities. Not all Springfield is bad. Also the ymca is a good community even center to. This is my home town and there is still good left in this town. Not all is bad. Also the soup kitchen where it feeds the homeless and also gives the people clothes. There is also basketball courts where the community can get together and play basketball and enjoy it and have fun. There’s a skate park also where younger kids skate and ride there bikes at. There is a lot of bike trails and fields to play sports "

"there’s no dog park. there’s a few neighborhood cats that like to stray and you often hear the neighborhood dogs barking. it’s no bother really since everyone minds their business. just something to be mindful of."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 20 years, and it's changed over the last 7 years. The neighborhood has some really good people and also a few bad apples. But, overall the people that live here, do make an effort to look out for one another. "

"Springfield is not safe for families with small children. Drug addicts make up most of the population. The homicide rate is the highest in this part of the state. Do not move here. Safety is an issue that must be looked at before moving here."
