NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is completely non responsive. Will not follow up with you or give you any response to what they’re going to do to advocate and protect your child when they’re being bullied.. It is impossible to get a meeting with the principal even after leaving multiple emails and voicemails. No matter who you talk to you get pushed and shoved down the line like your voice and Child does not matter, even upon trying to leave the school. Their contact with other schools is basically nonexistent. They will not contact or follow up with the other school that you’re trying to transfer your child to. Do not send a child to the school if you want them to feel safe and advocated for in a good learning environment.. To meet with the principal you must go in and demand a meeting now. However, don’t believe this helps because all the principal does is write stuff down on a sheet of paper and lie to your face while taking no action on the problems at hand.Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Central High School - 41

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student at Central, I find it to be like any other school I've been to; most students here have their own groups of people, but of course, people are going to have their own friends, but that doesn't mean that they'll be mean if you try to sit with them or hang out. I have seen bullying here. Still, it's genuinely been less than from other schools I've been to. I think this school has great opportunities, like a really nice gym and theater. I have never had an issue trying to get a meeting with counselors or teachers to get what I need or help them help me. So central is just like any other ordinary schoolStudent Review4mo ago6 Reviews - South Middle School - 36

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGoing to south middle school has helped me alot i have met many teachers that i enjoyed having and i like the sports programs we have here. If there was one thing i could change it would have to be the discipline system because we have many repeat offenders at our school, but many of those students have transfered over from problem neighborhoods and areas that are know for drug and gang violence. The cameras at our school have helped alot this year and the teachers have also stepped up the discipline in the classrooms too.Student Review16y ago2 Reviews - Robbinsdale Elementary - 14

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is entering his second year at this school. His first year went extremely well and I felt that the teachers and staff at the school were excellent. My ONLY complaint was that there could have been slightly more communication directly between his teacher and myself; however, she has a lot to deal with when trying to teach a room full of students.Parent Review12y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 101 E Kansas City St.

"The area is nice, crime is really low, some areas are alittle run down but majority of the city and surrounding area is beautiful. I’m told the schools are good and there’s plenty for children to do around here. Plenty outdoor activities "

"It’s a neighborhood 20+ years old, so there is space between houses and they don’t all look alike. Parkview park is only 2 blocks away with a pool, play area and softball fields. "

"It’s not my “neighborhood”. We are renting a cabin here for the winter. The locals are not as friendly as we might have imagined. We are probably seen as outsiders. Given the beauty and blessings involved with this place, I can’t blame them. "

"The Southside of rapid city is one of the better part of town to live in. I live in the Newest part of the southside and it’s relatively quiet. Other than if you live close to Cattron which my building is located close to Catherine and sometimes you can hear the traffic. Other than that it’s great"

"Rapid valley is a very kid and dog friendly community, most of the neighbors take pride in their homes and yards. You see kids walking to and from school and lots of people walking babies in strollers it seems to be a safe area and the people love to celebrate the holidays. So if this meets what you are looking for in a neighborhood then the valley is the place for you! Good luck house hunting!!"

"Lots of dog walkers in the neighborhood, kids playing outside, especially since there’s an elementary school a couple blocks away, normally a very quiet neighborhood a good mix of established residents and new property owners. Convenience of gas stations and a dollar tree within five minutes of the house for those last minute items that were forgotten at the store. Convenient location for stores, strip malls or even the mall within ten minutes. Great location to have rapid city at your fingertips without having to be right in the middle and having to deal with rush hour traffic"

"Quiet neighborhood typically without issue reasonable place to live cost wise. Convenient location to gas stations and interstate. Lots of younger kids very close to an elementary school. Good location for young families and first time buyers! Large lots per house. Nice to have more space than the newer neighborhoods offer. Usual lot size is a half acre or more!! "
