About this House

Tucked at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the beloved Marchwood community, this 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home has been lovingly maintained by its original owners and sits on a premium 1.1-acre lot. With a large screened-in porch that steps onto the deck, a covered front porch, a first-floor office, a whole-house generator, updated mechanicals, and within the award-winning Downingtown East School District and nationally recognized STEM Academy — this home checks a lot of boxes. The covered front porch sets the tone, while the brick and vinyl exterior with a side-entry garage gives the home a classic, well-maintained look. Inside, the home offers a functional and well-designed floor plan. Hardwood floors highlight the dining room, while the formal living room features three windows that bring in natural light. The kitchen is equipped with hickory cabinets, under cabinet lighting, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and hardwood floors, and opens to the family room. The family room features a brick wall with gas fireplace, crown molding, and sliding doors to a screened-in porch, which leads to the deck. Both overlook the beautifully manicured yard and open views across the 1.1-acre lot — a setting that feels private, expansive, and genuinely peaceful. The spacious office with built-in wall unit and 2 desk areas is a natural fit for working from home or just as easily converted into a playroom. A powder room with hardwood floors and crown molding, and laundry room with utility cabinet with sink, round out the first floor. The primary bedroom features a private bath, while three additional bedrooms share an updated hall bath. A bonus storage room is easily accessible off the hallway. The unfinished basement has direct garage access. Updates include whole-house generator (2014, serviced yearly), heating system (2023), air conditioning system (2015), hot water heater (2023), electrical panel ( 2014), and roof ( 2015). Marchwood is one of Exton's most popular sidewalk communities, loved for its neighborhood feel and unbeatable location — minutes from parks, schools, the YMCA, Exton Library, shopping, ballfields, train stations, and the PA Turnpike. Cul-de-sac lots on 1.1 acres in this community are a rare find!

"People on this cul-de-sac know each other and appreciate the proximity to major attractions, while enjoying a deer and a fox now and then. Neighbors are safety conscious and amicable, stopping for friendly chats on their walks during nice weather. A short walk brings you to the YMCA, Downingtown East High School, Lionville Middle and elementary schools, and the LYA youth athletic fields. In the summer time, we can here the distant call of the ball games and in the fall, you can hear the school marching band practicing after school. Multiple generations have lived on the street since the 60's, which gives it an old-fashioned, small town feel. Yards are spacious and well kept and the mix is varied and multi-generational. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!"
  • Deb K.
"lived here 18 years excellent super quiet close to everything."
  • lrob720
"Great location. Close to everything. Most properties in the area are well cared for. On the down side....property tax is way too high"
