This school and district have gone down hill this year. They have money problems out the rear. There is rampant bullying from students and some of the teachers. The Principal is more concerned about being the "fun guy" than actually running this school appropriately. The school counselor is adversarial and nasty to the kids. They refuse to partner with some families to better support children, and if you advocate for your child, they will target them and make them suffer for the parent standing up for them. Teachers dismiss kids when they ask for help, and some don't provide their students with support. 504 and IEPs are not being followed. Some parents have started obtaining legal counsel because it is so out of contol. Do your family a favor and explore the surrounding districts that have better success and more competent staff.

This school is a jungle. So many fights at the beginning of the school year, they don’t care if your student is behind or needs help, the special education is a hoke( and they will ask you o opt out of state testing knowing your child will reflect their poor teaching skills! Can’t believe they are closing south valley and moving all the kids to north when the principal is a home and so is the school. Do your child a favor and don’t send them to north valley middle school.

As you might see in the other postings this school looks like a horrible hell sent place. I'm here to tell you that its not. The only reason we would punish someone is if we they actually did something rong. I hear time after time that they didn't do something and there getting "framed" for something they didn't do. I can tell that there lying because I saw them to. there is bullying and it sucks but the teachers (not the principle or consular) are always open to help you. this school is a little rough on the edges but their improving.

This school is Bomb ` Go Vikes * This community is like family to me and always will be.
