A wonderful school. I worked in the Moscow School district for many years as a substitute teacher, long term substitute teacher and IRI test administrator. I felt so welcome at McDonald Elementary every time I walked through the door. The teachers are friendly, helpful and very on top of giving each student their very best. Now, my children are attending McDonald. We have had nothing but the best experience. The teachers have always kept us informed of what is happening throughout the day and always get back to us quickly. My daughter absolutely loves this school and I can really tell she is learning to her fullest capacity. My son is in Developmental preschool. I feel that even though he is in preschool, everyone in the school knows who he is and/or takes the time to get to know him. He is thriving there as well. Above and beyond all of our expectations!

Moscow Middle School has really friendly staff and fellow students! I made a friend almost immediately on the first day. The numerous elective options are great! Kids appeal to many different electives, so it's a good idea to set them out there. I think the teaching methods could be different, though. There are some teachers that are very explicit, which are the ones kids look forward to everyday. There are also the teachers who come to school everyday just for the paycheck, don't teach very well, and leave kids in dread and confusion. I also think the extracurricular activities are lacking a bit. The kids don't get noticed for good grades or outstanding behavior. I suggest this because it motivates the students to improve academically and behavior wise. If you're unsure of whether or not to enroll your child in this school, I say give it a try. Make sure your child likes his or her classes, and always make sure to know exactly what's going on.
