During my time at this school, I experienced severe and ongoing physical and verbal bullying. When it was reported, the response from staff was minimal and did not lead to meaningful change. The school was publicly recognized as a “bully-free school,” but my lived experience did not reflect that label. My parents were at the school at least once a week attempting to address and resolve these issues, but despite repeated reports, the bullying never meaningfully improved. I often felt that maintaining the school’s reputation mattered more than addressing what was happening to me as a student. This experience had a lasting impact on my mental health and ultimately led to my removal from the school on the advice of medical professionals. I’m sharing this so parents and students understand that official labels don’t always reflect individual experiences, and I do not want anyone to go through the same experience I did.

It is unsafe and horrible. never go to thins school

Bowens Corner Elementary is off to a good start after opening four years ago. The teaching staff has been top notch each year with our child. Communication is good but could be more timely. Our only complaint is the After Care program. The registration process is rushed, fills up within a few hours and clearly has no accommodation for existing students to be automatically reenrolled for the next year.
