I have a very nice 4 bedroom apartment for rent only three blocks to SCSU Campus! All bedrooms are good size and easily fit a queen bed, dresser and computer desk, they also have very nice closets in each bedroom. The family room and kitchen are huge and we have installed gorgeous 18x18 inch marble tile in the last three months. The building is a locked, secured entry and each tenant gets their own parking spot. The building is also surrounded by restaurants, gas station, tanning, liquor store, etc. Landlord pays water, trash, snow removal, and heat. Call Dave to set up a showing or with any questions Starting June 1st, 2013 (possibly sooner or later). Lease would end May 31st, 2014

    "I lived a couple of blocks away for 18 years. While everything in the review from 6 years ago was definitely true, I know for a fact that activity has greatly improved. The scsu attendance is greatly reduced, so the walk- by traffic has diminished significantly. The university had extended their discipline of student activity to include bad behavior off-campus. On the downside, there are far fewer events held on campus. It is wonderful to walk to downtown, even to Lake George and to the public library, depending on how much exercising you want to do! Multiple bus routes make a stop at Miller Library so it is very convenient to get around. The Neighborhood’s homeowners would welcome the Rehab of this beautiful jem. There is an historical preservation committee, and the members have a great deal of experience in returning homes to their initial glory. As this is on auction, it could be that the pipes were frozen, and any buyer would be looking at the replacement of the plumbing system. Check the utility records to see if the usage was high during the winter. Good luck searching for the right house for you and your family!"

We appreciate the diversity of the neighborhood. It is generally very safe although there are places to avoid due to the occupants. We lock our doors and I don’t let my elementary school son walk alone around the block for safety, but I am a cautious person. It’s a busy, but quiet neighborhood. "
