My son went here the beginning of this school year for 9th grade and did absolutely horrible. Their slogan is "belonging" but they allow the students and teachers to be bullys. My son was receiving mostly D's & F's and since he switched schools he is literally on the honor roll and even received student of the month this month! Which has noved me to write this review. The teachers at Oviedo High do not want to teach, the 9th grade Geometry teacher would make fun of students and have an attitude I would ground my kids over. The PE teacher sat on the bench and did not care the students were cursing and sitting there doing nothing all class, was extremely over weight himself and did not even allow them to play basketball. Move your children from this school and see them actually learn and grow.

As a parent, I believe schools and families should be able to work together respectfully even during difficult situations. Unfortunately, my experience at Evans Elementary has become increasingly concerning over time.What began as me raising concerns regarding my daughter’s classroom experiences and disciplinary handling gradually turned into what felt like an increasingly adversarial communication dynamic rather than a collaborative effort to support my child.I understand schools must maintain classroom structure and discipline. However, I became deeply concerned by repeated classroom removals, escalating tension surrounding ordinary parent advocacy, and communication that often felt dismissive rather than solution-oriented.One of the most difficult parts of this experience has been feeling that my attempts to document concerns, ask questions, and seek clarification were interpreted negatively instead of being treated as part of a parent’s role in advocating for their child.I fully acknowledge that emotions became heightened on all sides at times, including my own frustrations as a parent. However, I still believe families should be able to raise concerns without feeling that communication deteriorates further afterward.My hope moving forward is simply that the district places greater emphasis on de-escalation, parent collaboration, emotional support for students, and constructive communication before situations reach this level.I am sharing this experience not out of spite, but because I believe transparency and accountability matter when it comes to the educational environment our children experience every day.

This school does nothing to address serious bullying issues and the teachers are absolutely apathetic about teaching. An awful school. I actually pulled my son out to attend Florida Virtual School because this school is so bad
