4356 feet under roof, 4856 SQ FOOT TOTAL COUNTY ASSESSOR RECORDS. Big family? This has 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. Extended family? It has 2 Master Suites with full baths and walk-in closets. Like an open floor plan? The great room/dining room is like 2 living spaces. Built in 2001. Sources close to the original owners and builders tell us they claim to have spent ½ million dollars. Got adult toys? The lot is actually 3 lots at 16,500 sq ft. The side yard is about 100 wide by 130 ft deep. Big enough for a GUEST HOUSE, shop, plus park all your RV's trailers, boats, Jet Skis, etc., or run a couple small animals or chickens. IT'S ALL FENCED. Safety for your pets and kids. The home has 2 very big screened rooms. I thought it was overkill but I live on the patios. The front, north facing, for coffee in the morning. And the rear pool patio, covered, with my outdoor TV in the afternoon and evening. We open the front and rear doors in the spring and fall and the breezes flow through the house dropping the utilities about $100 a month. NO BUGS. The pool is nice size and there is a hot tub attached. There is a new pool/spa heater, new Hayward cleaner($500), updated plumbing, and redone cool deck. The pool is screened with 2 exit/entrances. There are three flower planters on a raised shelf behind the pool with a triple water feature and another water feature plumbed but not yet selected. The patio around the pool is big enough for lots of outdoor furniture and guests. We have a solar cover for early spring heating and late fall. The fresh garden has zucchini, yellow squash, bell pepper, basil, tomatoes, watermelon, and pumpkins. Enjoy fresh fruit from your mature, star fruit, mango, papaya, avocado, fig, orange, lemon, lime, and other exotic fruits. All the property is irrigated, recently updated and expanded, with new sprinklers. Lots of cars? Two gated driveways will hold 2+ cars each. The separated 2 car garage has an extensive metal overhead cover from the house. The garage has a new opener with outside control, its finished dry wall inside, just painted, epoxy floor, and home to the laundry and a remodeled ½ bath. The septic is oversized, it was just pumped and inspected. The shed/workshop is solid wood construction with power, lights and shelving/work bench and a riding mower carport out the back. NEW, $22,000 metal roof 2019 in Hawaiian Blue to complement the Bahamian style architecture and cream/gold color. Landscaping is lush and easy care. Ceiling fans throughout the house. It's a 3/2 split, 2 masters on one side and 3 very large bedrooms on the opposite side. The kitchen is early 2000's, it is very large (room for a island) with 6 inch tile counter tops and abundant cabinet space. The whole house is done in 16 inch tile. The third bathroom, guest bath, just underwent complete remodel. HVAC was just serviced, and in great order. Home has appliance/mechanical warranty. Vaulted ceilings with pot/decorator shelf’s and mood lighting. Great quiet neighborhood. Cul-de-sac with only 4 homes, 2 unoccupied. No evidence of crime. The police and city hall are very easy to work with. Two minutes to ACE and Walmart and 3 minutes to all shopping and restaurants. Elementary school is 3 blocks. Hi speed internet, City Water (about $100 month). Lots of grass but only about 20 minutes to cut with a riding mower. The home is eligible for 100% USDA RURAL FINANCING AT ATTRACTIVE RATES. A recent appraisal of comparable sales values at $291,200. your BROKER IS WELCOME . SHOW ANYTIME-EVEN SHORT NOTICE 731-412-9494 Jim

"Very family oriented neighborhood. Everybody says hi and look out for each other. We witnessed this last year when tornadoes (due to hurricane season) hit us."
  • pworley13
"I have been visiting Avon Park for over 15 years to visit my parents. It is a wonderful place to live. Highlands Ridge is terrific and the neighborhood is delightful. Weather is fabulous. "
  • Felipe Oscar Parra
"The golf Course is a plus. On top of that, no HOA. Very nice neighborhood surrounded by lakes. Very nice and polite people as well."

"Friendly and caring community. It is becoming more diverse and beginning to grow with new businesses. Lots of great food! "
  • Debbie W.
"Within 10 min of all grocery stores and fast food restaurants. Delivery is widely available. Lots of people who live here commute out of town for work though. 30 min to more than an hour each way"

  • Susan G.
"I’ve lived in Avon Park since 1962, @ the age of 5 years, raised three daughters, and now I have the privilege of watching their children (totaling my 9 grandchildren) grow up in AP. The 2 oldest already graduated this year on May 24th, 2019 with the youngest turning 2 years old in September. "
  • Lex V.

"The buolding is full of termites and it is horrible... they said they are planning to exterminate this problem soon"
  • Virginia F.
"I currently live here. I have wonderful neighbors all around. There are only 8 homes on our street. The road is dirt and shell but I county maintained. They come out periodically and resurface the road. They were here again just the other day. Trash pickup 2 X week. County water and septic system. We have sadly outgrown our home, or should I say it has outgrown us. We have 6 children, grown and at one time we had a houseful. We no longer need this much room. Close to super Walmart, a Dollar General, churches and parks and lakes as well. Come by and see for yourself. There are 2 screen lanai's on the back of the house. Carpet , tile & linoleum. Cathedral ceilings in main section of the home. large pantry in kitchen. Ceiling fans all throughout. Laundry room is inside. No need to go outdoors to wash clothes! Large yard. Shade trees. New roof installed in 2004. It is a Alcoa aluminum roof."
  • Andersonbnb
"This home is in a nice neighborhood with larger than average homes. It is away from the hustle of the city, but close enough to town. (10 minutes to WalMart) The homes are on 2.5 to 5 acre estates. so there is privacy from neighbors. "
  • Andersonbnb
"Nice subdivision. Quiet, and has very nice homes away from the bussle of the city, but is close enough to town (only 10 minutes to Walmart). Has large lots so there is privacy from neighbors."
  • my_mbenz y. c.
"I used to live in the area and want to move back cause it is very nice. Great for families, retirees, singles or couples, with plenty of restaurants, grocery, shopping and privacy if desired."
