3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery disappointed in this school that I thought would be my son's school, he started in VPK and just two weeks before finishing the program they tell me that the child is expelled for absences. They made that decision just like that, when most of the absences were due to health problems justified by their doctor with evidence. I had to lie to the boy saying that school ended today. A very unfair decision by English Estates Elementary School. I hope this comment will serve as an experience for all the mothers who start with their children in public schools and choose the best school for their child so that what happened to me does not happen to them.Parent Review3y ago14 Reviews - Lake Howell High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a student at Lake Howell High School, I could not be happier with the experience my child has had here. From day one, the teachers and staff have shown genuine care for the students, providing not only strong academics but also the guidance and support kids need to succeed. My child has benefited from the wide range of AP and honors classes, as well as the many opportunities to explore sports, arts, and clubs. The school encourages balance—pushing for excellence in the classroom while also building character, leadership, and teamwork. What I appreciate most is the sense of community and inclusiveness. The administration communicates well with families, and I always feel confident that my child is safe and supported. It’s clear that the school is committed to preparing students for both college and life beyond high school.I am proud to have my child at Lake Howell High School and would recommend it to any family looking for a place where students are challenged, supported, and celebrated.Parent Review9mo ago12 Reviews - A Seminole County Virtual School

"I’ve lived in Maitland for over 12 years. It’s a great community but within the last couple of years, the apartment complexes have gone up surrounding the area which makes traffic unbearable at times."

"There is not enough grass for dogs to walk and no where on the property for pets to run and play. Apt bldg has lot's concrete parking but not enough land. The owners do not always pick up after their pets and part of the reason is dog bag stations are not easily accessible, they are quite a distance away. The upside is we have elevators which is helpful for the senior dogs if you live above first floor. The dogs are leashed and owners communicate if their dog if friendly or not. There are parks in driving distance to walk your dig on a leash. Lakes/ parks are clean and dogs love all the smells. Dogs are leashed at the park; its a safe environment."
